I finished 26th in 10am tournament today.
My AK was beaten by KJ, too bad.

First my AQ was sucked out on by JK, leaving me with 1200 and change.

Next hand I have AJ hearts. 15/30 blinds, I raise to 155. Re-raise by azn to 280. I call. Flop comes with two hearts, but no A or J. He shoves. I call. Turn is a second king. He forces me all in. He flips 44 and he won with the underpair. I had all those outs (A, J, any heart) and nothing hit. people playing underpairs very aggressively with 2 or 3 overs on the flop. Same thing happened last night with playersonly and the 22.

I had A9 vs. AQ, he raised preflop to 100 (from the 20 bb). I called. Flop A810 offsuit, he bet 320, I foolishly called. Turn came a 9 and I all-ined with over 1300 chips. He called and I got a nice stack early.

so I guess it was all saving up for tonight.

So maybe all the bad luck was saving up for one good night.

I had three hands where I was on the good end of a bad beat, and a fourth where I almost did it (K10 got two pair on turn to temporarily be over all-in AA, but the river was a Q, pairing a Q from the flop).

I also had two pocket pairs hold up against people shoving with two over cards (AK and AQ I believe).


Last hand I had JohnGalt dominated (top cards vs. 89 off), but I got a boat anyway to seal it.

First place.

Plus I finished third in the 9 PM blackjack tournament and I'm about to at least advance to the 2nd round in the 10:40 PM tourney.

I cashed 2nd place in the 2nd blackjack tournament I was talking about. Both tournaments offered a free entry to the same tournament, so the second wasn't needed, but I also got a little cash out of that one (had won a free seat to it anyway so played it even though I had the entry already).

got screwed at the end though. all in with A6 hearts. roxxxy calls with 26 diamonds and catches a flush. Happy I got a 5th though. No bad beats either way with me involved aside from that one.

Someone else though had KK and A9 sucked out on the river. 9 on flop, 9 on river. That was a bad beat. Forgot the players involved.

I'm no expert myself, but I'd be looking toward my own play before calling sham based on that one.

Apart from any A dominating you, You only have 1 out you could be confident about, as the Ks will setup a potential flush. That was a check from SB for mine.

iiraise slow-played JJ (min raise preflop) and tricked me. I had 99 and hit boat. He had higher boat.

Completely unpredictable as to tourney attendance. The 10 PM when I don't play it seems to often have 35-37 people, but when I wait it out, it has more people than any of the others. 44 tonight. I finished 43rd.

2K blackjack tournament, advanced out of first round, in 2nd round 3 advanced. I finished with 2500 and in 4th, only 89 behind 3rd.

Other poker tournament, top 10 paid, I finish 17th when AQ is rivered by K8. I all-ined to over 6x the big blind and some donkey calls with k8 off. 8 flop, Q turn, K river.

When the cards go wrong, everything goes wrong at once.

edit: I'd better quit for the night. AJ, flop is J high, I bet big, sinmiedo calls with 33, hits a 3 on the turn, just about cleans me out.

Then dealt QQ, I go all in, and sinmiedo has KJ and hits a K on the turn

I wish I had added more chips so I could've bet bigger preflop but I doubt people would've folded anyway. People don't like folding at ring tables.

When we got down to 24, it shifted me from a table where I had just gotten past the blinds to a table where the blinds hit me again. So I got hit with 150/300 (or 100/200 whatever it was) four times straight.

That obviously hurt my stack and then AQ lost to K10 to knock me out.

I managed to hang around for a bunch of hands after it went down to 20 but no one else dropped out and then I went all in with AQ.

7th in the newbies At least it's only 100 or 200 points lost.

I had AQ off, three way all in preflop vs A10 off and A5 off. Had I won I'd be a lock for top 3. Guy with the A10 has ace of hearts and gets dealt four hearts, including one on the river.
Hoping for better luck tonight.
