only peanuts but i seem to never hit a flop, is that why people just go all in preflop with nothing all the time? cause most likeley you gonna catch what u need even if it is nothing nothing at all. just wondering

free falling, .25/.5, I'm dealt A9 off with 11 chips and change left. I raise to 3. He calls. Flop 972 off. I bet half the pot. He calls. Turn 7. I all in. He calls and flips J10 offsuit. So zilch, unless you count having a gutshot straight.

River is a 10.

At least he had 2 over cards. Would have been worse if he called with 56.

another sad story tonight. Haven't been cashing anything much in the last two weeks. No recent top 10s or even top 15s.

No luck early on, so down to like 1300 chips. 50/100 blinds, guy raises to 300 in early position. I call with a pocket pair, everyone else folds.

Turns out he had 8,10 off and hit a straight on the flop.

That's pretty bad, IMO, because raising to 3x in early position means the odds are good someone will call (had a full table going, at least 8 people), and anyone calling will be favored.

I finished 32/40

low on points due to rigged blackjack. No luck trying to roll over either.

50 point rollover, buy in to 1/2, sit for about 20 minutes, dealt garbage hand after garbage hand. Down to 34. Finally dealt KK. I raise to 7. JohnGalt calls with 55 and hits quads.

52/53 in the other poker tournament I played.

0 for 2 in live blackjack tournaments.

Cards been very bad to me.

Well i finally finished off a rollover last night from a tournament i won 2nd place in on 12/1/2011. I had to roll 370 over 3 times so 1110/1110, i cashed it in last night for 395 profit. I have been keeping these poker rollovers just in case i ever got low on points, id have a chance aquire some points from them. Lately ive gotten paranoid tho that if i wait 2 long SBR might take them back for inactivity. Ive still got 6 more waiting to roll over. 2 questions are they safe and once rollover is completed should i cash them in at once or keep playing? Ive seen alot of players leave the table right away after completing there rollovers? I dont really play tournaments that often anymore, i know by not at least trying 1 per day im costing myself 1000's of points per year. Any suggestions or info would be much appreciated.

You were allowed to win due to inactivity. Eventually you will start to lose like everyone else.

daze, if you go six months without playing a rollover, they said they confiscate it, but as long as you play once, it resets.

as for whether to leave, I am looking to leave as soon as I complete a rollover. I generally try to even out my points first (SBR takes the decimals) and wait until the big blind hits again (you 'paid' for the full round once you paid the blinds).

almost points broke now so went to try and complete my last rollover. At the .25/.5 table. Late position, I get AJ, go all-in preflop (4 or 4.5, whatever it was), and get called by zwoeins who had 78. Of course he won.

This sucks because I need every point I can get.

I'll just make an overall post about bad luck because it's everywhere.

Today I needed Phillies ML (bunch of parlays at bookmaker) and under 6.5 (contests), and Papelbon blows a 3-1 Phillies lead in the 10th. Dodgers win 5-3.

I played in a 6:40 blackjack tournament. 21 entrants, top 5 get paid. I advance through the first two rounds and make the final table of 6. I'm in good position to cash because on the final hand, you wind up with people betting big/doubling, chasing first. So people in big, I have 14, dealer has 9. In for half my stack. I hit and get 19 and figure I'm good. turns out with the doubling others did, and dealer busting on a 9 (if that happened in the sbr casino I wouldn't be broke), I finished 6th, barely. No cash after an hour of playing.

SBR poker tournament. It showed low entrants so I entered but it somehow wound up with 42 (doesn't update well). Bubbled in 21st/22nd (emily haines lost at the same time). Wasted like 45 minutes to bubble that.

Last night had three runners plus myself bet Mets under 27.5 H/R/E. It wound up at 29, after both bullpens imploded. A whole bunch of H/R/E in the 9th and 10th to push it over.

Another blackjack tournament, 47 entrants, top 5 paid, I finish 4th in the second round (only 2/6 advanced in first round), essentially tied for 9th with one other person. Wasted 45 minutes on that.

9 PM poker:

Dealt A4, flop A45, I bet big, spankie calls, turn 6, I again bet big, he calls. River 6, and my three pair loses to his two pair (AJ).

A few hands later, I get AA, raise to 5x blinds, one caller. Flop QK5.

Turns out other dude had KK.

After running up my latest deposit to about double, I lost most of it tonight on the Red Sox game.

Big on the over 10, over 30.5 HRE, White Sox ML, and White Sox +1.5

White Sox lead 1-0 throughout (since like the 2nd) and give up a three run homer in the bottom of the 9th just so I can lose everything.

Sounds like you have been doing worse than me! I was 55 units down over May and June. Been coming back in July, but as you know I'm still picking a lot of damn losers.

JK gg u just caught some bombs. Maybe u know this why did SBRJohn come in then just go right to fold to any bet? He played like the first three hands then clicked the button to do that. I dont know him really is that something he would do just to make the break? I didnt think so, hope nothing weird happened to him or something. I was confused by that.

Built up my entry into over 10k chips

BB at 400, dealt 10 4 diamonds. Amazingly, no one raised so I saw a flop. There was a Q, a J, and two diamonds. I bet. Other guy calls.

Turn is 5 of hearts. Both check. River is Jack of Diamonds. I bet half pot, other guy all ins, I call.

He was holding QJ and hit a boat as I hit the flush. Finished 113 (top 80 or whatever get paid)

With that K on the flop you should have played it very carefully from there if you had called. And if he had made a sizeable enough bet to see if you had flopped a set you should fold the Qs.

Maybe think about playing these type of hands to showdown more often rather than jumping for the allin so fast. Dont pull that trigger until you know you have the nuts most of the time.

Holding 2,3 as big blind, down to 1,050 chips or so, flop comes 23J, someone allins so I call. Someone holding JJ. They were holding JJ and they merely called the big blind. No preflop raise!

Flop came 10,9,8 offsuit, I bet about 240 again. Again called. Turn was a 4. I bet big again, again called. River is a 6.

yea what gets me so nervous about big pocket pairs is that people here will call 500 in a tourney with nothing and then get a st8, also the flush rate is crazy, makes me nervous but i should try. thx
