Well very un- impressive week for me, 2 small cashes first 2 days, then 2 no cashes where i just played stupid and got caught, followed by another no cash where i went out with a fullhouse by a higher fullhouse.

its gets uglier every time you tell me that is not a time thing eliminate as many as possible with the high stack that way no overlap. so weak just fold every fukin hand just to make an overlap. we will see what happens

played in the right tournament tonight in terms of numbers, but had to leave for 5 minutes in the middle and lost about 400 in blinds

25th when my AQ lost to playersonly's 10s.

Can someone briefly explain the poker-point rollover requirement?

Do you have to be sbr pro or do you unlock it via playing cash-games?

you do not have to be an SBR Pro. Just go to the texas hold'em tab and buy in to a table with your bonus points.

You must have already won the bonus points from a tournament.

I got lucky to not get bubbled tonight. Down to about 1k, late position, only the blinds in the pot, I all ined with 77 and got called with AA. 7 on flop!

So I went from finishing 23rd to cashing.

edit: a second one in my favor

I was bb. bb was over half my stack. I had A5, downsouth shoved with AQ and I was forced to call. I rivered a straight

it's official, I'm extraordinarily lucky this week (in poker, not in betting)

my 77 just beat 99 and 1010, jeffie and downsouth in the hand

they both hit trips on flop, turn J gave me straight

flop was 8910

finished 4th. scabman all in pre with a6, I called with 88, A on flop

but very lucky tournament for me nevertheless

My run just ended. Dead last in the 3PM.

I have A8 and hit a straight on the turn. I bet 220 into the pot and I get called by compsmoker who was called with four clubs

he rivered a flush and I debated folding but I had 700 into the pot at that point.

getting lucky in the pros

A3 beat JQ and then AQ beat suited AQ when I rivered a flush

both over playersonly

but then his A4 off beat my A10 suited.

So I'm 2-1 with the bad beats there

alas, my K8 lost to his 45 and I finished 3rd. he knocked me out in 22nd in the rebuys too, just short of cashing (top 20)

Nothing beats this:

I have QT and raise pre-flop

Everyone folds, but one person.

I have position on him.

Flop comes AKJ, meaning i have a straight

He goes all in. I call.

He shows A9.

Turn comes A, and river 9. Giving him a full house.

Probably the most unlikely defeats ever.

I cried for 30 minutes

have a lot of poker points built up, went to play some ring games

lost a 200 balance and a 100 balance very quickly.

The 100 was gone in a few hands. KJ, flop comes 10QK, I have a straight, shane rivers me with a flush.

he keeps doing it. The few times I had a flush, he had a higher flush, and he flushed my superior hand on the river about a dozen times.

and then I finally got dealt KK and TheHOFF had AA.

I had the guy nailed because we had the same bet on the last hand and I had 20 vs. dealer 10. He had 12.

He hits and gets a 9.

And then I was playing a tourney and advanced out of the first round, went to switch computers, and got DQed for not showing up in time for the second.

Do you ever have to double down on blackjack?

I have seen that done a few times in live blackjack tournaments and in all cases the guy won 2x. Of course the dealer had a 5 or 6 showing though

1/2 table, I raise preflop to 12 with AQ suited, imamonkey calls. Flop comes A and two clubs, I bet the pot, monkey calls again. Turn is another club, I bet half pot, he all ins. He was calling with 8,10 clubs and sucked out with a flush.

on the plus side, my AJ beat biteme's AK. Flop came J high and I all ined and it held up.

Yisman, what was the action before you when you raised to 12 with aq at a 1/2 game? On the surface you're really bloating the pot and, ultimately, getting way more chip committed than you need to with just a single pair.

Yis. It's all about pot control and minimizing your loses and vice versa. Try a 5-7 chip raise next time.

And you don't want a fold. Pre. You also don't want to be stuck for 20-40 percent of your stack after potting the flop with just an A. Leave yourself more room to maneuver and to have your opponent define their hand.

in bb, stash allins with 650, bb is 400 so I have to call. J6 against AJ.

Then I was small blind and of course committed at that point, AK shoved in front of me and had to call again with 210 clubs.

Just bad timing with the blinds hitting each time right after they increased and a long run of bad cards at the end.
