Another fukkin sick beat, this time I busted out real early (on my 12th hand), some donk named "king" was playing at my table and just a few hands before he took someone for a bunch when his K3 beat their AA, so I pushed all in preflop with AQ on him with about 1,800 in chips and he called with QK and rivers a king.....getting real tired of this shit.

two hearts on the flop, none on the turn, and boom, heart on the river. That so rarely happens for me, but it bounced me today. Oh well. I put myself in a difficult position where I only had 500-something to call with due to two hands I misplayed. Finished 34th.

4uk is just suffering the same slump the rest of us SNG players are going through. It taxed our very soul to not be able to play on friday's. It was what made the suck outs worth playing. That being said 4uk always stunk ..

BeerDog, I might be sans internet for a few weeks. Cox is claiming I ordered wrestlemania & a boxing match chocking up an extra $120+ to my normal internet bill. Which I find hilarious because I do not have Cox Cable, only internet. But they aren't budging. Despite all their claims of "Just pay it, we'll research it, and it will be credited back to you next month so you don't get disconnected".

I'm just not buying what they are selling. So We'll see where it goes. If they DC me, I'll just sign up for DSL. Anyways see ya

Well here is my stupid little complain, lately every time I play
allways at 10 pm, i seem to get knocked out between 20-30 th
I could swear about 85% of the time its on the River Card, someone
catches a straight, a flush or catches a higher 2nd Pair
last night I pushed a little all in with AK, what does the flop,turn
and the river comes up with, all low cards under 10, a lousy Pair of
7s wins and Iam gone, sometimes I start to believe that the seat
they move you to, dictates your fate, I realize its Poker, but this
happens to often and can't be always put down "just bad Luck"
I guess I have to suck it up and keep trying
I guess 4uK4 feels the same way, very frustrating

Very much the same buddy. Plus I've had so much going on right now with being sick and other things to take care of. been a very frustrating May to say the least. Hoping to get back on track this week and gotta keep up to date on the scores.

I suffered almost the exact same fate today. I raise AQ, donk-a-matic allins with AJ (he has already pulled at least 3 bad beats in the thing allining hands like A8o) and I call. 3 low cards on flop, J turn, low card river. He donk only had me covered by about 100 chips. ~5 hands later, he str8 allins A8o and loses half his stack.

3 PM was rather deserted today. Usually in the 50-55 range, but less than 45 today.

DCs hurt me in this one. Finished 16th. Had an outside shot at top 10, which is what I was aiming for.

That's because they don't know how to play poker, that is the thing with SBR poker (or really any online poker), there are good players but then there are alot of horrible players. You have to pay attention to the names here on SBR to see who is actually for real and who is there just to donate chips. It sucks to fold a ton of good hands to some player that keeps on betting huge and pushing all in because you assume he has you beat, then later down the road after watching him play against other people you realize he was just a donk.

It becomes pretty clear early who the donks are, but with most hands there's nothing I'm going to do about it anyway. Players pushing all in pre-flop repeatedly is common in SBR poker, but I'm still not calling unless I have what I consider to be a top hand.

Most are similar, so those guys can get away with it for a bunch of hands until they get called.

I think the strangest hand of the day was when flop was three non-diamonds, and one guy goes all in. Someone else calls, and the cards are revealed. The guy who raised had two pair (both of his cards were matched). The guy who called had K7 diamonds, so his hand was high card king.

Well the problem is sometimes that the blinds are so big that you can't afford to wait too long for good cards because you'll have no chips left to play with ... ussually at the last table there are at least 3-4 people with 5000-6000 chips and the BB is 1200 ... so after 2 complete rounds more than 4000 chips are gone if you don't get good cards ...

More times than not your good hands are at the mercy of whether or not you should call someone who is pushing all in. Not sure about all the winners here, but if I had to guess, most are getting top finishes because they are taking these hands down early by calling or winning their own pushes that are called and getting big stacks within the first few hands. This seems like the logic most players are winning with in these tourneys. Carseller and a few others come to mind here.

The other side of the coin is having patience and picking your spots and this is when you usually (not always if things are going your way) find yourself going fairly deep into the tourney but being shortstacked and getting killed by blinds late. Luck is almost the only shot you have at a top 3 finish here.

I guess a combination of both is my strategy and sometimes it works while others it doesn't, but I see a lot of the same guys at the top who are shoving or calling all in pushes early (and later for that matter) and winning these hands more than a couple of times. It might not be the most sound poker strategy, but it seems to be the one that works the most.

I don't know what to say anymore.....just another sick beat to knock me out right before the final table, I pushed all in with 4k in chips with AK suited, I got called by AK unsuited and he rivers a flush knocking me out 15th place in the 6pm ET.....SBR poker invents a new way to put me on tilt everyday.

What are the odds anyways for AK suited to lose against AK unsuited? Less then 5% or so I'm guessing.
