lee not joining the team today. the guy says he needs to take care of some family stuff in baltimore. these guys travel all summer long and now he needs to take an extra day off, when his new team needs him, not a good start, in my opinion. as long as he performs on the field thats what matters but come on, he cant join his new team today. thats lame and a lame excuse. he was going to be in new york today anyway, why does he need to be in baltimore today?

Hopefully he can provide the offense punch that Lyle Overbay couldn't.

There may be a little something to that. Losing a game like that very well could have been demoralizing to a young team that was playing above expectations.
Let me be the first to jump off the bandwagon for this year. As a fan that has seen Roberto Clemente and all the great Pirates that were with and around him play in person I can`t take anymore - the hope that this year will be different. Don`t get me wrong, I want the organization to be successful, but until they are, MLB and the Pirates get no more of my money.

it was obvious that it would not be easy for buccos as their schedule got increasingly more difficult and they caught a few teams off-guard early on, that shouldnt diminish what they have done and i hope to see them north of .500 at end of season making that what? 1 less time for them than brewers in last 20 years? if they get above .500 a few years in a row they can go back to claiming superiority over mil vast achievements
