Gorkys might be the best outfield glove in America

I think its ok to be patient with Marte.... let him dominate in AAA for awhile, he only just started to make an adjustment and be an above average hitter. lots of time with him, no need to rush him

seems like it was this time last year i was in the pit fan club thread cheering you guys on (even tho as you know im a lifelong cards fan), never had anything but respect for most buccos fans, which is more than i can say for rest of fans in the nl central (funny tho cause i find steeler fans to be obnoxious and i know you all steeler fans as well, lol)...

at the moment i find it hard to root you guys on, prob has something to do with fact pit just took 2 of 3 from stl...that said you all deserve a winner (or at least a winning season)...hope they dont fall off again this season (well a little maybe but just behind cards!)

It's nice to see a Pittsburgh manager confident in his starters. I remember a few years ago the starters wouldn't go more than 5, maybe 6 if they were lucky no matter the circumstance.

yeah confident is good.... but you don't want to be TOO confident in your starter ala dusty baker... especially when you are up 9-2 and you can put your mop up guy in to eat innings, save your top bullpen guys and save those valuable innings for later in the year.

J-mac is on pace for 211 innings, and his career high was last year at 171 innings. He is 27 so, its not as scary to jump that much in one year.... but still, no reason to risk it
