pirates got quite the easy schedule the 2nd half of the season. 32 out of the last 77 against the bottom 4 nl teams, astros, cubs, padres, rockies.

are the bats gona stay this hot? probably not.

is the freefall of last year and the 19 years of sucking still fresh in my mind? of course.

i could see milwaukee getting hot still, not ready to throw dirt on their grave.

at any rate should be a fun 2 and a half months.

looking at periphery numbers like FIP and BaBIP and just plain common sense tells you that pitchers with the Pedigree and History of Locke, Gomez, Liriano are NOT going to keep it up. I expect the pitching to crash pretty hard if they don't get some help

Hopefully they finally release Brandon Inge

but more than likely they'll just shuttle Harrison back for the 15th time in the last few years

im glad they decided to keep harrison up and get rid of inge, he wasnt getting any younger or anything.

grilli had been faltering a bit lately, him going on the dl for a few weeks wasnt as bad as it looked.

i suspect a move will be made for a right fielder and harrison will be back down though.

I'm wondering if they give Andrew Lambo a shot at RF at some point?

they brought Presley up today, after DL-ing McKenry so I guess I got my answer.

Lambo has really been prolific this year in AA and AAA though. Possible trade chip
