#492I'm not in position right now for a full right up, but the bottom line is that the line is dropping, and I think Hamilton is the play, along with the over... I will play them equally and hope for the best at this point after a rough day last night..

#493The home teams went 0-4 last week...They are 2-0 this week. Ive noticed that this trend is very useful for CFLComment -

#494You left out fact that Montreal won playing away. Anyway, Calgary just looks bad right now, no offensive chemistry between Burris and his receivers. TiCats look good SU.Comment -

#495Well the Calgary game split as Hamilton just refused to score.. .AT ALL... in the second half... Quite shocking how a CFL doesn't score a point in a half when teams so generally so evenly matched...
We got the total over 51 at least, thanks to a late run, and despite a tough week, total's were 3-1 this week to offset the 1-3 side projections, unfortunately I went fairly heavy on the Riders and Eskimos, who both forgot about second halvs...
Lets get em next week... Just 6 weeks in boys...Comment -

#501Edmonton's running game will have to be outstanding tonight if they are going to win Ray needs to run the ball as well a few times with Barnes probably being double teamed all night i don't have much faith in Nowatcki,Bauman or HenryComment -

#502I'm on Mtl -6.5 tonight. My lean is on the Under 54.5. Waiting to see what a few guys have to say about the total before I lock anything in. 70% on the Over and the line has remained at 54.5 across the board with the exception of SI who has it at 54. SI's software is showing 76% on the Over and surprisingly they have kept their line at 54....
I don't see Edmonton scoring a lot of points in this one. With Stamps out Ray is going to struggleComment -

#503Doesn't -6.5 at home not seem to be somewhat small considering the visiting Esks are without Stamps. Just a thought as I would have thought Montreal would have been at least a converted TD.Comment -

Obviously the biggest story tonight is Edm WR Stamps out with an abdominal injury for at least the next month. That’s clearly going to affect a lot of the offense in this game. Where I really think it will affect things is the PACE of the offense of this game. It’s not so much about Fred Stamps not able to catch the big bombs, but the fact that if O Coordinator Crandell is going to adjust, it’s just going to slow the pace down to the baseball equivilant of “small ball”, which will eat up clock, and gain field position. I believe that it’s the Eskimo DEFENSE that will step up tonight, and give the Montreal Offense at least a few stalls (You just can’t STOP them totally) …
I am much more hesitant to take a side here though, although on pure bias I am going to say that the Esks play this one tough, the first game after losing their star. In fact, the fact that the opening line makes it look like the oddsmakers want you to take Montreal (to win by a measly Touchdown) says all it needs to say in my opinion. Motivationally, the Esks want to show that they can compete from all angles. Lets face it, before Stamps was considered out, and before they lost a close (At least at the half) game to the Bombers on the road, was this not going to be a FG type spread... Obviously alot has happened in a few days...
Going to made a reasonable play on the total, and a much lesser one on the Esks.

#516I try not to over think cfl. With only 8 teams it's hard to have traps because people know the teams so well. I think the line was more of a gift than a trap. Look at Toronto Winnipeg a few weeks ago. That line was another gift. Almost too easy, can really pick your spots and hit the books hardComment -

#518Haha....fair enough, I guess he has a couple but that was what 6 years ago? He has a lot less hair now. I moved to Edm in 07 so I wasn't around for the Grey Cup days and have only seen the Esks fail miserably and it kind of tainted me. At least The City of Champions has the Oilers who are a lot better and a lot more exciting than their record last year indicated.
Looking at tonights game my lean is on Sask +3.5 and the Over.....They lost to Calgary at home a few weeks ago by 4 and now they get them back at home for a home divisional revenge game. Then again the Lions pounded the Riders last week and who knows what Calgary team is going to show up. I'll check out the lines about an hour before kickoff and see if I want to bet on this oneComment -

#519SSK has brought in some new players that apparently tore up college back in the day. Wasn't really sure what to make of it so I'm on CGY. SSK's loss to BC was super glaring in my opinion, although CGY certainly has had there issues and Burris can be hot/cold. Good luck.Comment -

#525Interesting Scully, I had a conversation about this just the other day. Ray was essentially the 4th stronger practice guy who never got a shot ahead of drafted Chad Pennington. He ultimately came back up. But just the next season, the Jets had ALL of their QB's go down, and that was the year they called up Vinnie Testeverde from the couch mid season. Had it been one year later, Ray would have had his start in the NFL, and then who knows...Comment
