hey lta i got a question to you
what do you think of splitting bets into first five innings and full game? this works great with underdogs and 'bad teams in good spots' as their bullpen often blows
i realized that if your under doesnt hit its usually in the later innings see yesterday and mostly because of the bullpen

MLB 6/30/11
Red Sox/Philly under (7.5) (-115) 2.5x (Locked)
Lester v. Hamels in the battle of the lefties. I have to get some sleep, so I won't give you too much analysis here. But rest assured, both pitchers have been dominating of late. I think you always have to worry about taking the under in this matchup because of the great lineups, however, I expect both teams to rest a few regular players on Thursday. That is a day game after a night game and I would venture to say a few of the better hitters on these two teams do not play. Even if they do, you can't go wrong with Hamels and Lester right now. Wolf is a longtime under ump, if not as much this year, and carries a strike percentage of 63%. As I wrote in the first game of this series, with this being a possible world series matchup, both teams will be playing like it's the playoffs. That type of atmosphere is conducive to pitcher's duals and the under. Therefore, I'm rolling with the under in this one. Good luck!
Marlins/A's under (7)(-115) 3x (Locked)
Both teams are streaking under with the Marlins having played to 5 straight unders and 8 of their last 10 games, while the A's have played to 7 straight unders and 9 of their last 10 games. With Cahill going against Volstad, I like those under streaks to continue. Outside of a few bad starts, Volstad generally does not give up more than 3 in any one start. Cahill, on the other hand, is one of the best young pitchers in the game and has recently run hot after cooling off for awhile. Both teams trend under and the ump is young and inexperienced, but still has a respectable strike percentage. Neither team is hitting right now, so I'm rolling with the under here for 3x and may add to that stake tomorrow. Good luck!

Everyone is going to taking the over after all the scoring in the last two games. However, Verlander and Pelfrey have been dominant so far and especially in their last 3 starts. If anyone can shut down the Mets attack, it is Verlander. With a classic pitcher's dual setting up for this one, I am rolling with the under. Good luck!

Wandy at home has been lights-out over his entire career. Rodriguez is having the best year of his career and I expect Harrison to shut down the Astros. The question is how much Rodriguez will give up to the vaunted Rangers offensive attack. Personally, with all of the under trends in favor of Wandy here, I think he holds his own against the Rangers and this one stays under. Good luck!

This price is too attractive to pass up. There is no way a hot Pirates team should be that much of a dog with my boy Karstens pitching against Cecil. I think the Pirates take this series with a win on Thursday and Karsten should dominate a struggling Blue Jays' lineup. If Cecil was not so bad, I would also take the under. However, I'm sticking with the ML here and expect the Pirates to win easily. Good luck!Comment -

WNBA Recap 6/30/11

WNBA 2011 Season

A tough three point loss in the Liberty game could have offset what turned out to be a pretty easy win for over backers in the Minny/Tulsa game. The goal is to provide consistent profit in all sports and we've been a bit off in our last two WNBA cards. I have noticed that the Books have adjusted to the exploitable lines they were putting out in the beginning of the season. At that time, it was not uncommon for the books to be off by 7 to 10 points from where I had game totals capped. Those were some of my biggest winners so far. I think the books are catching up to WNBA now and the totals have been noticeably sharper in the last four cards or so. For evidence, you need merely look at the line movement and notice there are not as many wild line movement swings like earlier in the season in relation to totals. No worries, we will adjust. The first adjustment will probably be cutting out more plays and being a bit more selective. The lines are getting too sharp and I no longer am finding as much of +ev edge in as many games. Let's take a look at Friday's card and see what investment opportunities we can find.

We now have 9 consecutive days of profit in MLB. However, because we lose 2.2x in WNBA and only made 1.2x in MLB, we are down a about one unit on the day overall. That means we will not meet our goal of 9 consecutive profitable days overall in both sports. No matter, tomorrow we have a big card in both sports and we are dialed in right now. I would not be surprised to see our MLB profit streak hit 10 days tomorrow and also get back today's negligible WNBA losses. Our adjustments in MLB are paying immediate dividends and I expect our WNBA adjustments to do the same. Good luck.
