Good price on Canucks. They are without Tortorella and Henrik but they have beaten Edmonton with same lineup. Sure, Edmonton sucks but seems like Luongo is back healthy. Nashville has won a couple of matches recently because they are having success in the offense so I trust Lu to stop them. Can't say Predators excel in the defense so Canucks should cover it. Though Nashville has acquired Del Zotto in exchange for Calvin Klein, pardon Kevin Klein, so they might get some idea of tightening their D tonight, therefore only half a unit for me.

Minnesota Wild/Chicago Blackhawks over 5 @ -106 MarathonBet 0.5 unit

I'm tempted to take Minnesota tonight at plus side. Everyone is on Blackhawks and I can find reasons to back up both...

Wild: might get Parise back which should elevate their offense. Despite offensive struggles they have managed to win 3/5 recently. Wild is a defensive team, might be a good recipe to stop the firepower the Stanley Cup champs are having. They have won 2/3 mutual matches this season so it seems like they have Blackhawk's number. Chicago is struggling lately (they have lost 5/8), yesterday they blew the 2-0 lead and managed to lose the match which is not common for this team. Minnesota is also fresh since they didn't play yesterday and furthermore they are playing at home ice. There is quite a good line offered on Chicago which makes me wonder if that might be a trap set by bookies who know more than us.

Blackhawks: they are a good B2B and rebound team (won 9/12 B2B and 4/5 B2B after a loss). Raanta will start which I think is a better choice than Crawford at the moment. Red Wings with yesterday's lineup were very poor and especially that shootout... Raanta can't do worse. Wild is one of the worst teams when it comes to SOG so Raanta shouldn't have that much work while on the other side we are looking at one of the highest scoring teams. Hawks have a pretty good powerplay while Wild sucks on penalty killing (so do Hawks but Minny doesn't have good powerplay).

Conclusion: staying away from taking sides.

3 recent mutual matches have ended with 8, 6 and 7 goals. Over 5 is offered at -106 so I'll rather play that.

EC Dornbirn @ -106 MarathonBet 0.5 unit

There is one play which I like but tail with caution, I suck at EBEL this year... Dorbnirn has a relatively good start of battle for the playoffs in the bottom part of the league. They currently have 5 points as they have beaten Innsbruck and lost in Szekesfehervar with 3-1, last one being empty net. It was a tight match and lots of good chances to tie the game up but didn't capitalize so they lost. Always hard to play in Hungarian fortress so I think they didn't play bad despite the loss. They have a good chance to gather points in the next 2 rounds because they are playing vs Graz which is terrible and despite having a top goalie in the league they are underperforming due to lack of chemistry in the team. They have now lost 6 matches, the last time they got beaten by Olimpija Ljubljana which is a disgrace. Good chance for Dornbirn to take advatange of Graz's poor form and win this one. In next round they will host Olimpija so there is another good chance to get points. At the moment they are 9th, with same number of points as Alba Volan on 8th place. AV will tomorrow play in Klagenfurt where they will have hard time winning so Dornbirn would probably go back to 8th place if they beat Graz. They have a complete roster available to play while Graz is still missing good defensman Scalzo and efficient attacker Kinasevic. Dornbirn can count on one of the best attackers in the league - Luciano Aquino is currently 3rd with points. They also have the best powerplay in the league, though Graz has very good penalty killing. So far in the season Dornbirn has won 3/4 mutual matches with Graz, in all the victories they have scored at least 4 goals.

Yeah, I've played totals over early at +100 but then I decided to go for a sure bet and played under at +110 today since the line changed so much. Sadly I've chose wrong and ended up at +- 0 with this bet.

Some wrong decisions yesterday with NHL... anyway, I've been thinking for a while and I decided to change my system a bit. Here are my current stats:

Euro hockey: 29-23-3 +5.30 units
NHL: 113-106-9 +5.21 units
Live: 5-8-3 +0.74 units

Total: +11.25 units

I've been betting from 0.5 unit up to 2 units. From now on I will be posting my plays according to x/10 units system where:

10/10 would be max. bet,
5/10 flat (average) bet,
1/10 min. bet.

I will also put my plays into public spreadsheet for easier and better overview. For the sake of consistency I'll restart my stats with new system. Cheers

Interesting trend with Schneider. For last 5 matches or more Devils played under 1.5 in first period with him. But Capitals are going with Neuvirth so I'm not sure if I want to play that. Don't like much tonight so I'll pass on the offer.

Devils should be confident over the huge 7-1 win but Capitals are bound to bounce back at some point as well. I was checking the totals under line but it's too low to be worth the risk. I don't know, not feeling confident about anything today so I'll rather pass than make some plays just to have action.
