Nice call on Cobb last night. I finally cashed with RA Dickey today after playing him for his last three starts.

Going with your guy Gonzo tonight. Got a feeling he moves to 21 wins to stay ahead of Dickey for the led in wins in the NL.

Well just going to say I am sorry now. I am sitting here watching the Phils and Nats game and Gio Gonzalez is all over the place. Can not find the strike zone and when he does it's a 3 run double against him. Not going to be my night boys. I am going to crack a a bottle of wine and sit down and relax. Big card tomorrow so hopefully I can find something better then what i threw out their tonight.

                Thanks guys!

Let's just say I am no longer going to watch games that I have players involved. I watched the first two innings last night. The first inning Philly grabbed 3 runs on Gio the second inning they had two guys on and I just figured it was not going to be my night so I just went and read a book to my son and got him ready for bed. I wake up this morning to see he settled down and was able to have a decent night to get me to cash again. I guess luck was on my side last night.

Big card tonight. Will be back later with what I am like today.

Yankees blanked by Blue Jays 6-0, lead cut to 1 .

The Yankees lost for the third time in five games and wasted a chance to go two up with six to play.

                          Oiler,

Don't be turned away by Travis Wood right now. The guy has actually looked somewhat decent as of late. He is 2-1 his last 3 starts with a 2.95 ERA and just a 0.95 WHIP. One of his strengths as of late has been his strikeout numbers and his ability to keep his walks down. He is averaging over 7 K's per game and allowing just over 1 walk per game the last 3 games. He is allowing just 4.7 hits per game also over that span. Those numbers are nice from the fantasy aspect bu I would not be playing him tonight. He is playing in a hitters park in Arizona against a Dbacks offense that is hitting .273 the last 10 games while averaging 6 runs per nine innings the last 10 games.

                          Samgurt,

Good Luck with Griffin tonight. I like him to get the win tonight and his ER's should be low but his strikeout numbers don't impress me all that much I probably will stay away from him tonight.

                          benjy,

Thanks man. Hope the fantasy contests are going good for you.

Tonight I am going to spend some money again on pitching. With the big card I am able to build what I think is a solid lineup around Cliff Lee from the Phillies tonight. Lee has been outstanding as of late. The guy is 2-1 with a 0.78 ERA and a 0.96 WHIP his last 3 games. Lee is an inning eater. He is averaging almost 8 innings per game the last 3 games. The strikeouts have been their also in which he is averaging 9 per game the last 3 games. Miami looks like they just want to finish this season while Philly is pretty much out of playoff contention but Cliff Lee is a gamer and will come to pitch tonight.

                            Good Luck everyone!

I know what you mean. I drive myself crazy watching a game when I have money on it or if I have a player going. Sometimes just best to watch somthing else on tv.

Lee has been hot and I will probably ride your pick again tonight.
Thanks for your input and help.

                                    Nash,

I see Lee and Buck both have nice career numbers against Cliff but these two guys are ice cold right now. Lee is hitting just .087 (2-23) his last 6 games while Buck has to be put in the lineup first. Buck's recent struggles (2 hits in his last 10 games) has given Brantly plenty of playing time as of late behind the plate. Lee will give up hits, no doubt about that but he knows how to get himself out of trouble. The one guy I like from Miami tonight to maybe get on base a few times is Gilbert Velazquez who is hitting .409 his last 6 games.

Want a dirt cheap outfielder that will provide points tonight?
                                        Reed Johnson.
I use RJ about 8 times a year in spots, and he's always done right by me.

Niese doesn't fool him, RJ is 6 for 12 (all singles) lifetime, but a 2 for 5 night leading off and a run scored is nice points for bargain salary.

                                        Love Johnson tonight

Really wish Holland or Sale played at night so I could choose either of them.

Might just have to lay off for the day

Although it takes a backseat to Homer's gem, A.J. tossed a very strong game also...

                                                        Reds' first no-hitter since 1988 !

After the Pirates' Alex Presley popped out on Bailey's 115th pitch, securing a 1-0 win and the Reds' first no-hitter since Tom Browning's in 1988, Bailey thrust his arms straight over his head and welcomed his onrushing teammates.

Lee had a decent game. Made one mistake and that was the HR to stanton. Oh well can't win them all. Going to start looking over tonights games to see what I like.

I am posting early today, got a few things to do so Ill be in and out all day. I narrowed it down to Marco Estrad from Milwaukee, Steve Johnson from Baltimore and Madison Bumgarner from SF. I am going to go the route of Steve Johnson from Baltimore. Here are a few things I like about Johnson tonight.

Johnson has three starts under his belt this season and he is 3-0 in those three starts. He has a 2.12 ERA with a WHIP of 1.12. In those three starts he is averaging almost 6 innings per game and just over 7 K's per game. Johnson gets to face a Boston team that has given up on the year winning just once in their last 8 games. The Sox are struggling at the plate hitting just .191 their last 5 games vs right handers. The thing has me favoring Johnson a tad more then the others is that Baltimore is still fighting for that Wildcard spot and the possible Division title. The O's will know come game time tonight if the Yankees win or lose since the Yanks play at 1 PM today. If the Yanks lose Baltimore knows a win puts them in a tie for first with NY, if the Yanks win then Baltimore knows they need to continue to win to keep pace. Johnson has a very cheap pricetag on fanduel so I am going to take a gamble with him today.

Good Luck Everyone! No fantasy baseball tomorrow will be focusing on some daily fantasy football contests.
