daily fantasy baseball

Today I am looking at batters from Colorado, Arizona, Boston, and maybe even Toronto because they will be facing weak pitchers. I have a feeling Cleveland won't score more than 3 runs today so I might go with the Orioles designated pitcher although he looks weak too, I sometimes try and gamble with cheap pitchers so I could spend a little more on batters.

Wasn't that bad after all. The batters did the job to make the final score 41.66, wich is above my average. This gives me more confidence in the approach to concentrate more on batters and don't spend much on the pitcher.

drew smyly is a good cheap pitcher today. TB has alot SO, and low batting avg. But the best pitcher to have today is Darvish, if you can afford him.

Smily has 61 so in 13 games & 8.1 ppg. I would still go with doubront who has 87 so in 15 and 11.5 ppg.

Good shout. I did't took C Richards because he has less ppg, more walks, higher era, he is on the road against a better pitcher.

Jason Hummel a much better choice but a little bit too expensive. I like spending more on batters.

Zambrano can have a good game that's why I would't take Braun today. I go with batters that face weaker pitchers, but Braun is a great choice overall.

I still have a lot of homework to do regarding my fantasy picks. I am still a rookie.

allin1, You are getting yourself on the right path of finding batters that are facing weak pitchers. If you are going that route try and look and see what guys are hot right now. Another thing you want to look at also is how guys have done against the pitcher they are facing. When your a batter and you face a guy numerous times you get use to his pitches and how to pick up on his pitches. You put those two thing together you can get some good hitters.

Pitching is huge though in daily fantasy baseball. If you are playing on fanduel you are looking for strikeouts, wins and a pitcher who does not give up many runs. Example: Last night Kershaw had a 5-0 record at home against the mets his last five games and he had a 1.39 ERA against the Mets over that span. Well look at the line Kershaw had, a nice night getting me 20 fantasy points on fanduel.

I am no expert at this fantasy baseball stuff but I have learned alot this season thus far. I have started to get more involved with the fantasy games after all those books closing to US citizens. Another thing many fantasy players don't do is check the lineups to make sure all their guys are playing. Check those lineups all the way up until game time so you can make sure you don't have someone getting the night off.

Jeeps, great post! Thanks for the advice! Yes I play at fanduel and sometimes fansaloon because most of the sites don't accept outside us. I look at the lineups but I have to admit I haven't looked at pitcher's record against a team or how batters do against a certain pitcher. Is there any site you can recommend for such stats?
