^^To comment on my point. If Ventura's injury is serious enough for Tommy John, then 7 of the 9 hardest throwing starting pitchers will have that surgery. The lucky two, Gerrit Cole and Garrett Richards are on the list. I don't recall my source.

That's a shame that that many quality pitchers will be out for over a year...

Jaime Garcia got the no-decision, allowing three runs over seven innings in Thursday's loss to the Giants.



With Thursday's walk-less outing, Garcia has yet to allow one in 19 2/3 innings over three starts since coming off of the disabled list. The lefty also allowed only five hits while striking out seven, bolstering his K/BB ratio to 19/0. Garcia will go after his second win in his next start against the Royals at home.

Garcia has been a nice addition back in the STL rotation.

The walk-less streak is really impressive. His control and hitting spots is right on point recently.

Also, pitching in the NL, it's surprising he hasn't issued an IBB during the streak.

The Reds were thankful as they took 3 out of 4 in their house.

Ramirez went 2-for-4 in his second rehab game with Low-A Wisconsin on Monday. He'll take Tuesday off before being activated Wednesday for the beginning of a two-game set in Minnesota. Look for the Brewers to use Ramirez in the DH spot initially as they try to ease him back into action.

The Brewers getting a boost of offense if he can pick up where he left off.
