Thoughts on Jedd Gyorko?

He has been absolutely terrible this season and already has been paid to a nice future contract. Is he going to hit and turn it around? He is just a bench player on my team at the current moment with Rendon and Brett Lawrie playing 2nd and 3rd.

I totally understand.

I picked him up last year and he helped my team win it all.

So, this year draft I grabbed him & he is on my bench also.

I don't know whats wrong with him this year. I have Not watched any Padres' games this year yet.

I've talked with a lot of people that are really high on this guy.

My thinking is that he's just off to a sluggish start but will turn things around and have a strong year...

Perhaps this is the beginning of the turnaround for Gyorko?

I was hoping he would come through with the winning hit last night, or at least knock Cutch in to tie it.

However, he bounced into the dreaded game ending 1-2-3 double play.

Ike Davis choked before Mercer by popping out to first.

I saw it on the mlb show. It was a tough loss for them. Pretty brutal they all looked so drained this early in the season

The Pirates are really off to a bad start especially considering what was expected of them before the season started. I don't see them righting the ship any time soon.

I think the O/U expectations were pretty sharp.

I think most non fairweather astute fans were expecting a drop off this year, I know I was.

I always saw 2015-16 as the real start of their window of winning, and last year was fun and unexpected, but I didn't see it as sustainable.

I predicted 83-79 and missing the playoffs for the Pirates this year.

It was almost comical hearing people around here saying "Division Champs" "NL Champs" "World Series"

Last year was magical and quite the ride, but I expected a decline this year.
