#529Votto's MRI showed no structural damage, but a quad muscle strain.Originally posted by EmpireMakerWhat do you guys think about Votto and his poor season and his sore knee/quad ?
I think hes on his way to the DL.
The Reds are going to take it easy with him. Remember his left knee has been surgically repaired twice already.

#531Somebody else? He just missed the season with his knee injury. Then a few years prior had family problems/stress and was away for a while.Originally posted by ShortstopHe seems to be very injury prone. Or am I thinking of someone else?
I'm sure other teams do it too, but Reds play short too often with injuries. Especially with this injury Votto should be on the DL. If it has bothered him for 2 weeks then the rest would be better on the DL than not playing. We'll see.Originally posted by koz-man

#533Well the Stephen Drew saga is over for the time being. He re-signed with the Red Sox today for the rest of the year.
Drew will make $10.2 million, almost $4 million less than he would have made had he accepted Boston's original offer.Comment -

#535Call me crazy, but I seriously think that Tulo has a great shot at winning the Triple Crown this year.
He has a comfortable lead in BA, leads in HR's by one and is 8 RBI's behind Stanton (Miami) as of today.
Of course, the fact that he plays his home games at Coors plays into his favor...Comment -

#540Tulo is having a great year, I don't think he can pull off the triple crown but he surely is a strong contender for MVP if he continues at this pace.Originally posted by ShortstopCall me crazy, but I seriously think that Tulo has a great shot at winning the Triple Crown this year.

#541Nice to see Charlie Morton finally get his first win of the season!
The guy is 1-6 but has a very respectable 3.29 ERA. Lack of run support, ya think?

#556Yordano Ventura left Monday's start against the Astros in the third inning with an apparent injury.
Ventura's fastball hit just 91 mph against his final batter with two outs in the inning, so it could be some sort of arm injury. The young righty was touched up for five runs on seven hits and three walks before exiting. The Royals should provide an update on Ventura shortly. Cross your fingers.Comment -

#558^^To comment on my point. If Ventura's injury is serious enough for Tommy John, then 7 of the 9 hardest throwing starting pitchers will have that surgery. The lucky two, Gerrit Cole and Garrett Richards are on the list. I don't recall my source.Comment -

It's come to the point where the question isn't "if" a pitcher will need the surgery, but "when" a pitcher will need it...Comment -
