Good job once again TA, looking forward to your picks today. Haven't tailed you yet but it looks like a good idea to begin doing so. ;-)

    Early picks:
    SFO: -125, 1 unit

    Tailing:
CHC: -114, 0.5 unit (tailing milehighmonsters)

Something I caution everyone about if they're going to blindly tail the days selections is to play them all from day one of the season and you're mostly likely going to have a good season. Cherry pickers will end up worse than burnt toast more times than not over the course of the season.

TA, if all your picks are profitable, why do you say cherry-pickers will get burned? If I randomly choose to play 10% of your picks, I should still be able to win long term, unless your picks aren't all money-makers.

Chubber911, T.A is trying to give you a heads-up. NOT ALL his picks are $ makers. No ones is. thats the point. Its about %. If you "cherry pick " you might as well make your own picks, because in a sense.......
isn't that what your doing??? Good luck with your selections today, hope you end on the + side

                  Good afternoon chubber 911,

Not all my picks are winners, let alone anyone else. My posted selections this season for M.L.B. are hitting at a 51.54061 win rate but have made 107.65 units. Randomness leads to chaos and that will .

                    Spaceviews,

Well said and glad you get it. If a person plays a game/selection solely based on what's listed here (no research of any type) that's not to smart. However, if after a person has done some research and see that play listed it should provide additional confidence. Notice I did not say to put more on the game and yet at times I know people have done it.

You're about 33% of the way there and goose eggs are present. Hope it'll continue for you.

I have not looked at that game for two reasons. One, I got a win from that series yesterday. And B, I have two sets of N.H.L. stats on the mind right now as I've been doing some work to try and improve last years results. Give me some time to clear my head and I'll give an assessment of the game.

Still, if I'm going to tail *all* your picks and not cherry pick, I'd like to be sure which symbol means what. If you don't want to make them public, a PM would also be appreciated. I know they're probably very simple, but I like certainty. BOL today!

Thanks MILEHIGHMONSTERS. Glad you get it as well. Something that has been more successful than not in this thread when there is 75% on one side of a game, the result has been favorable. This is the important part of the previous statement, since the game is not capped the same way when in agreement they've been a steady trickle. It's gotten to the point, when certain regular contributors (in here) have come to the same conclusion as I have, I will add some more to it (amounts vary because wagers already made might have hit my ceiling for the day) without concern or worry. Continued success to you this season.

Good Afternoon Everyone..............Looks like some nice plays tonight. Let's make some money.

                              Dodgers vs Mets:

                              Mets:
Perez is on the mound tonight for the Metropolitans. After being out since May 2nd with tendonitis in his knee, Oliver is coming back after a rehab stint in the minors. When he left, he wasn't performing well with erratic control, and from what I read, his control isn't much better in the minors. The Mets have huge injury problems and they aren't scoring much (0, 0, 1, 2 in their last 4). NY is only hitting .198 vs right handers in their last 10 games.

                              Dodgers:
Kuroda is throwing the pill for the LAD's. In his last 3, he has a 3.98 ERA and a sterling WHIP of 0.89. He has given up 9 runs in his last 19 innings. Manny is back and the Dodgers have scored 8, 7, 4, 6 run in their last 4. They are hitting .283 vs lefties in their last 10.

                              PICK: Dodgers (2 units) -140
                              Record: 26-17-1 (+16 units)

Hey Therbs, we all have our rough days, you'll bounce back and be fine. Just because these athletes aren't cooperating, it isn't all our fault

                                Tailing:
CHC: -114, 0.5 unit (tailing milehighmonsters)
                                More picks:
                                LAD: -145, 1 unit
                                CWS: -152, 1 unit

                                Tailing:
SEA: -125, 1 unit (tailing milehighmonsters)

That makes me tailing 4 of 5 of milehighmonsters' plays, but the Red Sox line my book has makes it a no play in his system, even though he himself is playing it.

                                  ARI -150 win 1 unit W
                                  BOS -1.5 -120 risk 2 units W

Both of the plays hit last night adding 2.67u to the total.

                                  And for today :

                                  TOR +144 3 units

Tallet has been solid on the road recently with a 1.22 WHIP, giving up only 3 runs, over his last 3 away starts. Kazmir has had 2 nice starts since returning from the DL, but on a whole, he has been dreadful at home. He is 1-3, has a 1.92 WHIP, while giving up 31 runs in 29.2 IP at home. Tallet also holds much better numbers vs. the Rays lineup than Kazmir holds vs. the Blue Jays lineup. Tampa's has a .143 and .253 batting average and slugging % over their last 5, while Toronto sits at .256 and .403. To make matters even sweeter, this play also falls into a profitable situational play for me.

                                  TEX +125 1st 5 Innings 1 unit

Both teams are tearing the cover off the ball. Both team's bullpens have done quite well over the last 5. I'm going to take the Rangers to put up runs early vs. Santana who has stuggled. I'm only taking 5 innings because Padilla is just coming off the DL, so I don't know how deep he will go and I perfer to avoid any late inning drama.

I can see why you like OAK in that game but BOS gets the nod (4-3) in terms of how I do things. In one of those three they win 6-2 but the others are one run games. To me it looks like it should be a play (5-2) but, again, this game is a for me. Good with your choice.

                                        Record : 16-11-1 +7.13u
Always nice to see you've added some units to your accounts. I do not recall seeing other three unit plays from you off hand. hufster.

Now is TX your pick here since the shark is on the TX side ? ( The $$$$ on the LAA end mean 5 units deep ??)

Foghorn and Woodman.......I like the LaD and Sea picks myself. I am liking the pitching match-up in LaD and noticed Sea has a 12-8 record against AL East and Bal is 7-17 against AL West and a 13-27 road record. That and the fact that Bal beat Sea yesterday leads me to a Sea pick.

Boston has a losing record (7-13) against the AL West and Oak has a winning record (12-11) against the AL East.

                                              Hey pocketlint,

I thought there was one as I know I typed it out.

Your presumption with the TX/LAA game is not correct. Never would have thought of it that way until seeing it in print. If you go back a couple days you'd see the same type of wager for the other games (it lost both times) in the series. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

I can see why you like OAK in that game but BOS gets the nod (4-3) in terms of how I do things. In one of those three they win 6-2 but the others are one run games. To me it looks like it should be a play (5-2) but, again, this game is a for me. Good with your choice.

Something to remember, trends are trends and they are not an end all be all. When you ask for input, be ready for it as at times it may not agree with one's thought patterns. With whatever route you go for the game, I wish you well and hope it cashes.

Don't know what kind of internet is available where we're going, but will try and keep up with you guys.

Good Luck on all your plays tonight, keep up all the good work..........
Say it ain't so. What will you ever do up in "Hicksville"? The T'Falls used to be a nice place to spend a couple days/nights. The Soo always provided plenty of entertainment for us. Even went towards WI on a pair of snowmobiles along some trails while feeling no pain. Lots to do up there and hope you drag 'basement boy' with you as well. Got a wireless? Enjoy yourself and the time with the family.
