The two-time defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers are the overwhelming World Series odds favorites, looking to go back-to-back-to-back after signing Kyle Tucker to a large offseason contract.

The New York Yankees (+1000) and Seattle Mariners (+1300) are the second and third favorites, respectively, and they also occupy the top two spots among AL teams. But the Dodgers are in a tier by themselves (+230) with Opening Day set for this week.

✏️ World Series bets

Here are the World Series bets the SBR team is making throughout the 2026 MLB season.

Bet (odds) SBR analyst Date
Mariners (+1400 via theScore Bet) Andrew Brennan Feb. 14, 2026
Cubs (+1800 via Caesars) Andrew Brennan Feb. 14, 2026
Phillies (+1500 via FanDuel) Dustin Saracini March 23, 2026

Brennan: I kicked off my futures betting back in the middle of February with bets on the Seattle Mariners and Chicago Cubs to win the World Series (half a unit each). I think the Mariners run away with the AL West, and after nearly making the Fall Classic last season, I think they get the job done this year. Then we have the Cubs, who I think are being slept on this season. They have a solid rotation and a really strong bullpen with WBC champion closer Daniel Palencia working the ninth. The lineup improved with Alex Bregman after losing Kyle Tucker, and I think Pete Crow-Armstrong could take another leap this season.

Saracini: The Philadelphia Phillies will forever be on my radar. They are the perfect combo of talent and value almost every year, and every year they flame out early in the playoffs. Something has to give in 2026, though, right? At +1500 at FanDuel, there isn't a better bet to make right now. Armed with a top-10 pitching staff in baseball (3.73 ERA was good for ninth in MLB), the Phillies boast a top five offense across the board. I'll hop on that train one more time before Opening Day.
