The UEFA Champions League Knockout Stage playoffs continue today with Club Brugge hosting Atletico Madrid at Jan Breydel Stadium. Club Brugge enters in top form, with five wins in their last six games; Atleti is amid a rough patch with two wins, two losses, and a draw across its last five. One of those wins, however, was a 4-0 thumping of Barcelona.

My Club Brugge vs. Atletico Madrid same-game parlay and predictions digs into a clash of The Club's high-energy home form and Atletico's seasoned experience.

🔥 Jan Breydel goal fest

Don't miss the rest of our soccer picks for every game this season.

Ivan Leko has his squad playing at a very high tempo, which has resulted in their domestic games averaging over three goals and four on the nose in the League Phase. Atletico is a perfect partner for the Over, failing to keep a clean sheet throughout the League Phase and seeing three or more goals in three of their last four domestic games.

The net should bulge frequently tonight.

Leg 1: Over 2.5 goals (-125)

🥅 Georgios Karaiskakis goal-less fest

Looking for less goals for some reason? Well, Gary Pearson thinks that's what's coming to you if you tune into his Bayer Leverkusen vs. Olympiacos prediction.

🏰 The Belgian fortress

Atleti has often struggled on visits to Belgium, and I expect tonight to be no different. But not just leaning into past performances, Brugge was excellent at home in the League Phase, with its only loss coming at the hands of Arsenal, and managed to secure victories over Monaco and Marseille while drawing Barcelona.

Atletico Madrid secured just four points in away matches in the League Phase, with its only victory coming against the now-eliminated PSV Eindhoven. That, and recent form, are enough to see the struggle continue tonight.

Leg 2: Double Chance: Club Brugge or Tie (-125) | Parlay total: +275

⁉️ A different take

My colleague Gary Pearson isn't so sure about this take, and breaks down why he thinks the visitors secure victory in his Champions League predictions for the knockout playoffs first leg

🚩 Set-piece pressure cooker

While I do see Atleti struggling tonight, as they did throughout the League Phase on the road, that doesn't mean they won't produce corner volume. Diego Simeone pushes his wingers to drive the byline and win set pieces when crosses are blocked.

Brugge should often sit at a mid-block tonight, and defending the cross heavy attack should result in plenty of corner volume for the visitors.

Leg 3: Atletico Madrid Over 4.5 corners (-163) | Parlay total: +500

🟨 Midfield destroyer: bonus pick

Raphael Onyedika has been a magnet for yellow cards this season, picking up seven across all competitions (32 games) - including two in the League Phase. He'll have his hands full tonight and likely need to dole out tactical fouls to slow counter-attacks.

Bonus leg: Raphael Onyedika to be carded (+260 via bet365)
