⚽ Who will win Belgium vs. Egypt?
Belgium is moving away from the "Golden Generation," but let's not pretend that Rudi Garcia's side isn't still elite offensively. Kevin De Bruyne, Jeremy Doku, and Romelo Lukaku should be able to combine to cause fits for Egypts backline. KDB's vision as a playmaker will find spaces against Egypt's mid-block, while Doku (and Leandro Trossard) will be able to stretch the backline to create plenty of space for Lukaku.
I don't fully trust Belgium's backline, and I think Egypt can get on the board. I think this is priced pretty fairly to indicate the offensive edge that Belgium offers in the game.
Score prediction: Belgium 2, Egypt 1
💵 My best bet: Mohamed Hany to record 2+ fouls
Mohamed Hany is a positionally sound defender, and in domestic play, he doesn't rack up a lot of fouls. Today, he faces the elite runs of Doku, and that's where the problems come in. He doesn't have the recovery pace to deal with a player like Doku, and he's struggled to contain elite vertical threats in international play.
🦶 Who will score in Belgium vs. Egypt?
Follow all of our expert soccer betting analysis for the 2026 World Cup.
Romelu Lukaku
Kevin De Bruyne - who I like to record an assist at +240 in this exact play - is capable of finding gaps in Egypt's 4-2-3-1 setup, which will allow Lukaku his chances today. With Doku (and Trossard) stretching the backline and pulling defenders wide, Lukaku will be able to go to work in the middle. He and KDB have already combined for 13 international goals, and today they'll add on to that number.
Best Belgium vs. Egypt goal-scorer pick: Romelu Lukaku (+130 via FanDuel)

🥅 Will both teams score in Belgium vs. Egypt?
I've already broken down the path for Belgium to get on the board with my above analysis, but Egypt should be able to find the back of the net, too.
Belgium has repeatedly shown that it can be punished via counterattacks, suffering from transitional defensive leaks. Egypt is likely to spend the game trying to stifle Belgium with a mid-block, but they will find chances to spring Mo Salah and Omar Marmoush. Salah needs just one opportunity to make this happen, and Egypt certainly has the tools to get him a couple of those.
Both teams to score (BTTS) pick: Yes (-106 via bet365)
