Five teams have set themselves apart via the Super Bowl odds entering Week 1 of the 2025-26 regular season, but which team is the best Super Bowl bet?

While there isn't a whole lot to choose between the Detroit Lions (+1100 Super Bowl odds), Kansas City Chiefs (+800), Buffalo Bills (+750), Philadelphia Eagles (+700), and Baltimore Ravens (+700), one team represents the best Super Bowl futures bet at FanDuel, and here's why.

Super Bowl favorites & best futures bet 📈

The five Super Bowl odds favorites below are listed in order from longest to shortest odds to win Super Bowl 60, with odds provided by FanDuel. I provided a grade for each team while offering my best bet to win Super Bowl 2026.

🦁 Detroit Lions (+1100)

The Lions are the most polarizing favorite entering the 2025-26 campaign, but I'm unequivocally in the yay camp.

Last season, their Super Bowl chances were scuppered due to being ravaged by the injury bug at the most inopportune time. They entered last season's divisional round against the Washington Commanders with 16 players on the IR, many of whom were on the defensive side of the ball.

Pessimists already have enough ammunition to be on the nay side after Levi Onwuzurike's season-ending ACL injury and Frank Ragnow's retirement.

Naysayers will also point to the Lions' third-hardest strength of schedule. However, their fatigue-adjusted strength of schedule isn't as worrisome, and I believe the gauntlet they face will prepare them for what's to come in the postseason.

I'm not losing any sleep over their changes at offensive and defensive coordinator, and neither will head coach Dan Campbell. Both successors, Kevin Patullo and John Morton, have extensive experience working alongside Campbell within the Lions organization.

The agonizing defeats of the last two seasons can also help the Lions get over the hump.

My main concerns are the team's revamped secondary, which might need time to gel, and the Lions' lack of depth, the latter of which will keep Campbell up at night if a few more starters hit the IR. Luck might just be on the Lions side this time, though. The franchise is certainly in desperate need of some good fortune.

Lions Super Bowl odds grade: A-

🔴 Kansas City Chiefs (+800)

The Chiefs' defense, which had the 12th-best DVOA last season, remains almost intact. While I don't envision the Chiefs conjuring another 15-win season, with 11 decided by one score, their defense will keep them within striking range in most games.

Many questions remain on the offensive side of the ball, though, with Travis Kelce's stock continually decreasing and an otherwise small but athletic receiving core.

It also remains to be seen whether Rashee Rice can avoid the treatment table for an extended period (in addition to a potential upcoming suspension). Arguably, the most critical factor in the Chiefs' attempt at a third Super Bowl in four seasons is how effective rookie Josh Simmons and Kingsley Suamataia will be at protecting Patrick Mahomes' blind side.

While I've been humbled previously when betting against the Chiefs, this is the season they are finally removed from their perch in the AFC.

Chiefs Super Bowl odds grade: B+

🦅 Philadelphia Eagles (+750)

None of the Eagles' three trades this offseason will move their Super Bowl odds needle. However, Nick Sirianni will feel better about his depth at quarterback after acquiring Sam Howell from the Minnesota Vikings.

Vic Fangio is indisputably one of the best defensive coordinators, and despite losing several key players from last season's Super Bowl championship, including Josh Sweat, Milton Williams, C.J. Gardner-Johnson, Darius Slay, Isaiah Rodgers, and Oren Burks, he'll be confident about the unit overall.

They might not boast the best defensive DVOA as they did last season, but the Eagles should still have a top-five defense.

Will the departure of Kellen Moore negatively impact the offense? Absolutely not. With their embarrassment of elite playmakers, a rookie high school coach could steer this unit to the promised land.

They should be statistically better than last season's 13th-ranked DVOA, with the Ringer projecting it as the seventh-best unit.

Eagles Super Bowl odds grade: A

🦬 Buffalo Bills (+750)

I believe the AFC this season will run through either Buffalo or Baltimore, but which one is the million-dollar question? The Bills didn't improve their offense much, if at all.

Did they need to? No, not in the least.

Everybody knows how elite Josh Allen is under center. He led last season's unit to the second-best offensive DVOA, behind, you guessed it, the Ravens.

A couple of notable factors suggest a probable regression, though. The unit turned the ball over on only 4% of drives last season, and, as one of two offensive lines that played more than 800 snaps together, they were remarkably immune to the injury bug.

Repeating those feats would be even more remarkable than seeing Allen pull off one of his countless miracles while under duress.

The Bills poured their undivided attention and resources into improving the defense, most notably the secondary, which isn't surprising after seeing it ripped apart last season. Six of the Bills' seven 2025 draft picks are defensive players, including first-rounder Maxwell Hairston, and defensive linemen T.J. Sanders and Landon Jackson.

And they added Joey Bosa and Larry Ogunjobi, the latter of whom will miss the first six games due to violating the NFL's policy against performance-enhancing drugs. He'll be back when it matter most, though.

If one or two of the Bills' defensive draft picks excel in Year 1, the Bills will be the team to beat.

Bills Super Bowl odds grade: A

🐦‍⬛ Baltimore Ravens (+700)

Heartbreak on top of heartbreak and the increased motivation those callouses are accompanied by doesn't set the Ravens apart from the Lions or Bills.

What does separate them, though, is MVP odds favorite Lamar Jackson, the rest of his uber-skilled offensive colleagues and a defense that will be better than last season.

The Ravens secondary was torn apart in the first half of the season, an issue - thanks partially to the signing of Jaire Alexander - that shouldn't recur in 2025.

The Ravens were far and away the most efficient offense last season, with their 35.1% DVOA almost 15% better than second-place Buffalo.

I don't see anything changing on that front. I won't harp on Mark Andrews' infamous dropped pass. All I will say is that he'll be even more motivated to make amends than the rest of his famished-for-Super Bowl-glory teammates.

The Ravens represent my best bet to win the Super Bowl, followed closely by the Lions.
