The NFL preseason begins tonight with the Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio, which means we're roughly six months out from Super Bowl 60.

It's also the last time to place a bet on the latest Super Bowl odds before the NFL preseason hits full bloom - which can lead to injuries, reveal new schemes, and shift the odds for the betting favorites across some of the best sports betting sites.

We're breaking down the Super Bowl odds entering the NFL preseason, along with our early prediction to win and our favorite long shot to bet this year.

🏆 Super Bowl betting favorites

While the market has remained relatively tame since we last broke down the Super Bowl odds entering training camp, we've seen the NFL betting favorites jockey for the top spot in the most popular futures market.

Here is a look at the latest betting favorites across the best sports betting apps:

There is no consensus favorite across the best sportsbooks, but the Baltimore Ravens are the de facto front-runners entering the year with most sportsbooks and advanced models projecting them as the team to beat.

It's a pretty easy case to make: Lamar Jackson returns as the NFL MVP odds favorite after a historically great season at the helm of a record-setting offense that added talent this offseason. Meanwhile, the defense should be improved, too, after ranking as the NFL's best unit over the back half of last season.

The big question remains what happens in January and February for a team that has struggled to live up to expectations following dominant regular-season campaigns. Is this the year that changes? Even at this short price, I'm not sure there's a better bet to make than Baltimore to win it all.

🦬 Buffalo Bills (+700 via BetMGM)

Over the last five years, the Buffalo Bills have posted a 61-22 record with the best DVOA (28.0%) over a five-year stretch for any team that didn't make a Super Bowl appearance.

That should tell you all you need to know about Buffalo's outlook entering this year. Josh Allen remains a brilliant centerpiece after winning his first NFL MVP award last year, and his team leads the NFL projected win totals while facing one of the easiest paths by our proprietary NFL Fatigue Index.

All that said, can the Bills finally get past those pesky Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs? If they do that en route to their first-ever title, a $10 bet at BetMGM - which is posting an outlier +700 price for a team that is the outright favorite at some shops - would return $70 in February.

🦅 Philadelphia Eagles (+750 via FanDuel)

The Philadelphia Eagles opened the offseason as the outright favorites across the best NFL betting sites, but it seems that enthusiasm has waned for the defending champions as the NFL preseason gets underway.

I can't say I fully understand why - Philly was a juggernaut for most of last season before bullying its way to the Lombardi Trophy, and it returns all of the core pieces from that title team while adding first-round pick Jihaad Campbell to a defense that could be the best in the league next year.

We already know the offense will be tough to stop behind Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and that punishing offensive line. What's not to like? I'd be tempted to place a wager at these outlier odds via FanDuel, which features the best price on last year's champs to do it again this year.

🔮 Super Bowl long shot: Sleeper pick

🐎 Denver Broncos (+3000 via BetMGM)

📊 Best odds: +3000 via BetMGM ($10 to win $300)
🔢 Implied probability: 3.23%

It feels like you can't scroll for five minutes online without seeing the hype around the Denver Broncos, who quietly finished 10-7 last year in the second year under Sean Payton and first for then-rookie QB Bo Nix.

Denver also boasted the third-best scoring defense while leading the league in sacks (63) and producing the NFL Defensive Player of the Year odds winner in cornerback Patrick Surtain. He's back for a defense that some NFL pundits are predicting to be the most dominant unit in football.

If Nix takes a step forward in Year 2 for an offensive play-caller who can exploit his efficient play style, and the defense plays at a championship level? Watch out. I've already placed a bet at +3500 for the Broncos to win it all, and I'd play this down to +2500 before the season kicks off.
