Matthew Stafford spent 75% of his career to date with one franchise. However, as he prepares to suit up for his 17th season as an NFL signal-caller, he could be on the move again. Numerous NFC teams could be in the mix for the future Hall of Famer if the Los Angeles Rams decide to part ways with their QB1.

Sportsbooks believe there's a limited market for Stafford, with less than half the league listed on the oddsboard. This is different from what our Aaron Rodgers next team odds and Deebo Samuel next team odds looked like, but it's not too surprising considering the circumstances.

Stafford appears to be nearing the end of the road. While many teams already have established quarterbacks, there's no sense in trading for a rental, no matter if he's a slight upgrade or not. Any team inquiring about the veteran knows it'll cost a pretty penny to pry him away from Los Angeles.

It's important to note that the Rams are not listed above, as the market specifies it's Stafford's next team only if he leaves his current home.

The Minnesota Vikings (+200) are the favorites to land Stafford, though, as oddsmakers foresee a return to the NFC North for the long-time Detriot Lions quarterback. Minnesota's +200 odds represent an implied probability of 33.33%. A $10 winning wager on the VIkings returns $20 in profits.

Other teams expected to be in the mix are the New York Giants, Las Vegas Raiders, Indianapolis Colts, New York Jets, and Pittsburgh Steelers, who are all trading at shorter than +1000. Rest assured, if one of those teams land him, their Super Bowl odds will immediately increase.

Whether or not the Rams will move on from their Super Bowl-winning gunslinger remains to be seen. It'll take a truly special haul for Sean McVay and Co. to part with Stafford, so who could pay up?

My teams to watch are those with premium picks in the 2025 NFL draft odds.

When cross-referencing teams with top 10 picks and franchises with 10/1 odds or shorter, the Giants (No. 3 pick), Jets (No. 7), and Raiders (No. 6) fit the bill. However, there's a dark horse worth considering: the Browns.

Cleveland holds the No. 2 pick, which is enough compensation for Stafford. The Browns - who have the second-worst cap situation in the league per Tankathon - would need to make some moves to make the financials work, but it's something worth considering with Deshaun Watson sidelined for 2025.

Cleveland is listed at +1600 to land Stafford. We're solely searching for value when scouring this market, given our belief he stays put in Los Angeles. As a team with premium draft capital and a vacancy under center, the Browns provide that.

Stafford would provide some stability to a franchise in turmoil this offseason. It'd also soften the blow of losing Myles Garrett, who publicly requested a trade recently. Is it likely? No, but it's got a better chance of happening than the 5.88% implied probability suggests.
