New Orleans has more motivation to put forth a strong offensive effort this summer. That starts with an active quarterback competition for the backup role behind Tyler Shough. Spencer Rattler and Zach Wilson can't afford to mail in their preseason snaps, and both have enough in-game NFL experience to lead successful drives in exhibition play.
Additionally, Saints head coach Kellen Moore's offense is heavily based on timing, meaning we could see a little less basic play-calling from him as he prepares his players for the season. I'm taking the Saints to cover -1.5 on Saturday at FanDuel's -110 odds.
