Gardner Minshew NFL Player Props, Odds Week 15: Predictions for Steelers vs. Colts

The Indianapolis Colts host the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday as we make our best Gardner Minshew NFL player prop predictions based on the best NFL odds at our best sportsbooks.

Indianapolis Colts QB Gardner Minshew has thrown for at least 200 yards in seven games and fewer than 200 yards in four this season. Last week, he managed 240 yards against the Cincinnati Bengals, but most of his success came when the Bengals were already well on their way to a victory.

Minshew has thrown 11 touchdowns and eight interceptions on the year and has yet to throw more than two touchdown passes in a game.

Gardner Minshew Over 231.5 passing yards (-114 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐

Minshew has thrown for at least 240 yards in three consecutive games. A big part of the reason why is that the Colts are struggling to put teams away. Their last three wins have been by seven or fewer points, and last week, they were demolished by the Bengals.

Minshew has started eight games that the Colts either lost or won by seven or fewer points. He’s thrown for at least 240 yards in six of those contests. This week, against the 21st-ranked pass defense in the NFL, he will once again put up plenty of yards.

Gardner Minshew Over 20.5 completions (-122 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This number seems low considering Minshew’s numbers over the past few weeks. He’s completed at least 24 passes in each of his last three games, and he’s completed at least 21 in six games this season.

Every game in which Minshew started and completed fewer than 20 passes came against a team ranked in the top 15 in the league in passing yards allowed per game. The Steelers do not fit into that category. Against struggling defenses, Minshew spreads the ball around with ease and always completes at least 21 passes.

Each of our best sports betting sites, except for FanDuel, has this total set at 21.5 while offering a price of -115, so it is worth considering wagering at one of those four places. However, we recommend paying the worst price for one fewer completion. The Steelers haven’t been good of late, and if the Colts get out to a big lead in this one, then Minshew may not throw the ball much in the second half.

Gardner Minshew Under 0.5 interceptions (+110 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐

Minshew has appeared in 12 games this season. He’s thrown an interception in six of those contests. The price for this under is so good because Minshew has thrown an interception in three of his last four games, and he’s facing a defense tied for the fourth-most interceptions this season.

But of all the props available for Minshew at the best sports betting sites, this is the one that offers the most value. The Steelers rank 21st in rush defense, so Zack Moss will likely get plenty of carries on Saturday. If he has success, he will take pressure off Minshew and prevent him from needing to throw the ball more than necessary.

The price offered by DraftKings is the best of any of our best sportsbooks. It’s significantly better than the worst price which is -108 at FanDuel. However, that FanDuel price indicates that Minshew throwing an interception is not nearly as much of a guarantee as the matchup suggests.
