The critical clash for playoff positioning to conclude Week 14 kicks off at 8:15 p.m. ET tonight from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif. The NFC East-leading Eagles enter as the narrow -2.5 favorite while trying to end a two-game skid, and the Chargers have won four of their last five contests.

Jalen Hurts, QB, Eagles (+600) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I'm at peace with tabbing one of the names atop the oddsboard at the best NFL betting sites ahead of tonight's tilt. There's plenty to satisfy your craving for longer odds below.

Kimani Vidal is one of those picks with juicer odds, and some of the same thinking applies to Jalen Hurts here. A game getting a low total of 41.5 shows that touchdowns will likely be limited in a matchup that features two strong defenses.

With that in mind, taking Hurts to score on the ground is always a bet that inspires tush-push-induced confidence, as his eight rushing touchdowns sit tied for seventh leaguewide. But if he's going to score one of the few touchdowns, his price here is much better than Hurts' anytime touchdown odds that hover around +100.

He's taking a whopping 73.3% of the Eagles' carries inside the opponents' 5-yard line, which ranks sixth leaguewide. Hurts has scored six of his rushing touchdowns in that area, and he's tallied three TDs in his last three games.

A $10 bet using these +600 odds from FanDuel would lead to a $60 profit, with an implied probability of 14.29%.

Our Gary Pearson is eyeing one of Hurts' receivers in his Eagles vs. Chargers player props.

Kimani Vidal, RB, Chargers (+1500) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Yes, Omarion Hampton is set to return after being absent since Week 5 due to an ankle injury, and he'll likely lead the Chargers' backfield again.

Hampton is priced accordingly in this market, too, getting +850 betting odds to score first, the highest among Chargers players and third-highest overall entering this game at the best sports betting sites. But that's a steep price to pay for a running back who, while talented, hasn't seen game action for a little over two months. He's sure to get a lighter workload.

Vidal proved more than capable of taking on a larger share in Hampton's absence. He's fresh off a career-high 126 rushing yards on 25 carries (five yards per attempt) with a touchdown last week. That's one of his three 115-plus-yard games with Hampton out.

The Chicago Bears' backfield just roasted the Eagles for 281 rushing yards, with both of their lead backs recording 125-plus yards. Combine that with an expected low-scoring game as the Monday Night Football odds show, meaning we may wait a bit for the first touchdown, and Vidal is well-positioned to make a notable contribution, even if it's in a more limited role.

A $10 bet on him to score first would lead to a $150 payout through these +1500 betting odds from FanDuel, with an implied probability of 6.25%.

Pearson is also backing Vidal in his Eagles vs. Chargers prediction, as is Esten McLaren in his anytime touchdown scorer predictions for Monday Night Football.

Justin Herbert, QB, Chargers (+3500) ⭐⭐

This potential path to the first TD pot of gold comes with a glowing caution sign along the way for Justin Herbert. The signal-caller is likely to play, but he'll be doing so with a fracture to his non-throwing hand.

He'll surely be hesitant to run, though that's more than baked into these appealing odds. It's an injury that affords him the opportunity to protect himself if a golden chance arises. And the likelihood of that happening is far greater than the odds imply. The Eagles are tied for the fifth-most rushing touchdowns allowed to quarterbacks this season (four), and they sit just outside the top 10 in rushing yards given up to the position (256).

That all comes as they'll try to stop Herbert, who has established a new single-season career high already with his 353 rushing yards, which puts him fourth leaguewide among QBs.

A $10 wager using these +3500 betting odds from bet365 would lead to a $350 payout, with implied odds of 2.78%.
