Even with a rookie seventh-rounder at quarterback, the San Francisco 49ers have an air of invincibility heading into the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs. Can Dallas play another sharp playoff game to make things interesting? Read on for our Cowboys vs. 49ers SGP picks based on the best NFL odds.

The Cowboys (13-5) vanquished Tom Brady for the first time in his NFL career last weekend to advance to the Divisional Round for a date with the red-hot 49ers (14-4). 

Doubting San Francisco is a tough occupation following 11 consecutive wins, but Dallas arguably has its most complete roster in years. How will Sunday play out between two of the league’s top offenses?

SGP Predictions for Cowboys vs. 49ers

Over 46.5 (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Only six teams in the NFL this season had an Over/Under record in which more than half of their contests hit the Over; the Niners were one of those teams at 10-8 on the year. Dallas games finished at 9-9 on totals. 

Home games for San Francisco have gone 6-4 on Over on the season. The 49ers have averaged 34.5 points per game with Brock Purdy at quarterback. The Cowboys have averaged 26.6 points per game and Dak Prescott is coming off arguably his best game of the season. We like the momentum to carry into another high-scoring affair. 

FanDuel lists the total at 46.5 with standard -110 odds on Over. That’s a slight improvement compared to the DraftKings line, which lists the total at the same 46.5 number but with extra juice to -120 on an Over bet. If the number moves to 47, this recommendation drops from a five-star play to four stars

Ezekiel Elliott Under 34.5 rushing yards (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The 49ers are a bad matchup for the between-the-tackles style of Ezekiel Elliott. Then there’s the fact that Elliott has racked up just 37 yards on 21 carries over his past two games. Facing a Niners’ unit allowing fewer than 80 rushing yards per game - the best mark in the NFL - it should be tough sledding for Zeke.

Combining a player prop Under wager with our Over is a solid contrarian move that should help boost the combined odds on our SGP. It’s not that we don’t project tons of offense in this game, we just don’t think Zeke is going to be the guy providing it against this stout San Francisco run defense. DraftKings and FanDuel both offer an Elliott rushing line at 34.5 yards, but FanDuel has the edge on the odds, -110 to -115.

Brandon Aiyuk Over 55.5 receiving yards (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Niners quarterback Brock Purdy has distributed the ball pretty evenly among his talented weapons in recent weeks, but Brandon Aiyuk stands out due to the consistency of his efforts and the attainability of his receiving line Sunday. Aiyuk has averaged 78.5 receiving yards over the past four weeks without ever falling below 59 yards in a given game.

Aiyuk’s receiving line at FanDuel (55.5, -110) is four yards lower than the DraftKings line (59.5, +115). Even when targeting a more aggressive line on Aiyuk’s receiving total at DraftKings to try and boost the combined odds, the FanDuel parlay still comes out ahead, +577 to +550. This leg of the parlay reduces to three stars at the Draftkings line of 59.5.
