Two 12-5 Big Ten teams looking to end losing streaks do battle as I make my Iowa vs. Indiana prediction. Tipoff from Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Ind. is set for 2 p.m. ET (FOX).

Indiana is a two-point betting favorite, but the Hawkeyes have a great chance to end their three-game losing streak, led by the best player on the floor in Bennett Stirtz.

Check out all of our college basketball analysis and expert predictions this season.

Iowa’s latest 79-72 loss to Purdue pushed its losing streak to three games, but the Hawkeyes’ effort was impressive. During Purdue’s seven-game winning streak entering that contest, it had trailed for just under 16 minutes, but Iowa led for nearly 12 minutes in the first half.

While Iowa owns a 19-point road loss to Michigan State, this conference matchup is much better for the Hawkeyes. The Spartans limited Bennett Stirtz to his third-lowest offensive rating of the season by deploying a hard hedge in pick-and-roll situations, but the point guard should have more freedom to work against Indiana’s drop coverage.

Score prediction: Iowa 74, Indiana 72

🔥 Best Iowa vs. Indiana player prop: Bennett Stirtz Over 17.5 points (-114) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Bennett Stirtz ranks sixth in Evan Miyakawa’s most indispensable players list. He is on a heater with 19-plus points in four of the last five games, despite making just 6-of-27 3-point attempts during the team’s recent three-game losing streak.

Stirtz ranks in the top 10 of all Big Ten players in league play in minutes, percentage of his team’s possessions, and percentage of his team’s shots. And despite the recent cold streak from the perimeter, he still ranks 21st in effective field goal percentage, a testament to how well he probes defenses off pick-and-rolls.
