The South Region champion will be crowned when the No. 1 seed Auburn Tigers (31-5) and the No. 2 seed Michigan State Spartans (30-6) meet in Sunday's NCAA Tournament Elite Eight at 5:05 p.m. ET (CBS) from State Farm Arena in Atlanta.

The Tigers are 4.5 to 5.5-point betting favorites, but they will have their work cut out against the Spartans. Below, we discuss the best Auburn vs. Michigan State parlay picks and SGP odds as part of our March Madness predictions.

🔥 Michigan State +4.5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The opening odds listed the Spartans as 5.5-point underdogs, and while some sportsbooks are still offering that spread, the prices have gotten expensive at our best sports betting sites. Yet, despite this dropping by a full point, I still like the Spartans to cover and win this game, as I discussed in my Auburn vs. Michigan State prediction.

I wouldn’t be shocked to see the Tigers win, which is why I’m taking the Spartans against the spread and not on the moneyline. I feel the Spartans have the edge, as their style is more likely to impact the Tigers’ play than the other way around.

The Tigers are the ninth-highest-scoring team in the nation, but they may struggle against a Spartans defense that ranks 34th in points allowed per game. If the Spartans can slow down this game, they will come away with the win.

Even if they don’t win, they’ll keep this close enough to cover. After all, they haven’t lost a game by more than eight this year, so a lopsided outcome is unlikely.

🔥 Jase Richardson 3+ 3-pointers made ⭐⭐⭐

Richardson was outstanding in the Sweet 16. He shot 6-of-8 from the field and 4-of-6 from beyond the arc to lead the Spartans with 20 points. He has made at least three 3-pointers in four of his last five games, and had he made at least one in the second round against the New Mexico Lobos, the price for this prop would be much worse.

The Tigers are great at defending the 3-point line, ranking seventh in the country in opponent 3-point field goal percentage. However, they allowed the Crieghton Bluejays to shoot 44.4% from beyond the arc in the second round. In three of his last four, Richardson has shot 66.7% or better from beyond the arc.

Ultimately, you could take Richardson to make at least two 3-pointers for +100 or +105, but to get this price for him to make three when he’s shooting as well as he is is too good to pass up.

📊 Best odds: +295 via DraftKings ($10 to win $29.50)

🔥 Auburn first half moneyline ⭐⭐⭐

Neither of these teams has played well in the first half of games during the NCAA Tournament, but the Spartans’ slow starts are much more worrisome. They led the Bryant Bulldogs by just five at the break in the first round, trailed New Mexico 31-29 in the second round and trailed the Ole Miss Rebels by two in the Sweet 16.

Two-point deficits may not seem like a big deal, but it could have been much worse in their second and third-round games. They trailed the Lobos by as many as 10, and they trailed the Rebels by nine with just 3:13 remaining.

Of course, the Tigers will need to start faster to win this first half, but at least they’ve led at the break in two of their three games. The price is expensive, but there is no reason to trust Michigan State in the first half.
