The Dallas Mavericks will try to eliminate the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference Finals at the second time of asking, as we dive into our top Mavericks vs. Timberwolves parlay predictions based on the best NBA odds for Game 5 on Thursday.

The Dallas Mavericks have their eyes on a "gentleman's sweep" on the road after losing Game 4 at home. Game 5 is set for 8:30 p.m. ET on TNT at Target Center in Minnesota, with Minnesota the 5-point favorite.

Led by Doncic, Dallas is one win away from advancing to face the NBA championship odds favorite, the Boston Celtics. SGP predictions for Mavericks vs. Timberwolves

Luka Doncic to record a double-double ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I'm starting to feel like an old dog who refuses to learn a new trick. I'm not sure I've put together an SGP for this series that hasn't included Doncic recording a double-double. It's the perfect lay-up of a first leg for an SGP, with the odds implying a 68.75% probability this prop hits, according to our odds converter.

Doncic is coming off a triple-double in Game 4, his second of the series, and is clearly capable of recording a double-double with rebounds or assists in Game 5. He's averaging 9.5 rebounds and nine assists in the series and has five triple-doubles in his last seven playoffs games. In 16 postseason games this year, he's already recorded 12 double-doubles.

If you're feeling spicy, you can swap this leg to Doncic recording a triple-double (+375), elevating the SGP odds to +1100.

Anthony Edwards Over 6.5 assists ⭐⭐⭐⭐

There are certain props in this series that jump out right away, but when you see the odds you understand why. Edwards has been handing out apples in this series at a higher rate than Johnny Appleseed himself. That's why the odds on this prop are too short to bet on their own at -150, implying a 60% win probability, but fit perfectly in a SGP.

In the playoffs, Edwards has taken on a larger role as a facilitator and his playmaking instincts have popped. He's averaging 6.5 assists in the postseason and has countered Dallas' commitment to stopping him from scoring by setting up his teammates.

Against the Mavericks, Edwards is averaging 8.3 assists per game and has topped 6.5 in each game and five straight overall. He's already recorded Over 6.5 assists in seven of his last 10 games.

P.J. Washington Over 1.5 made 3-pointers ⭐⭐⭐⭐

P.J. Washington keeps hitting clutch 3-pointers when it matters most. If you asked me what he's shooting from behind the arc against Minnesota, I'd say it's gotta be above 38% because of how many memorable threes he's hit.

However, he's only shooting 22.2% from three. Now, that might sound like a bad thing, but it's actually great news for the SGP because it's the main reason this line is still set at 1.5, despite Washington hitting at least two 3-pointers in 10 of his last 11 games.

It's also the reason we're going with bet365. Washington's line at FanDuel is set at 2.5 but only takes the SGP up to +449. Meanwhile the same exact SGP is +250 at DraftKings. Those odds imply a 28.57% probability each leg hits, but our odds pay a $40 profit on a $10 bet.
