Kyrie Irving could shake up the entire NBA offseason if he chooses not to re-sign with the Dallas Mavericks this summer. But will he actually do that? Let's take a look at the best NBA odds for Irving's next team to find out.

The assumption is Kyrie Irving will be staying with the Dallas Mavericks. The team likely wouldn't have traded as much as it did had Irving not agreed to some sort of handshake deal with the front office prior to the NBA's trade deadline. The odds are pretty good that he'll be staying put.

But this is Kyrie Irving we're talking about. He's played for five different teams during his NBA career, with each of the previous four stops ending terribly. Irving could decide to walk away from a nice Mavs contract offer this summer, which would completely change the entire NBA free-agency conversation.

The best sports betting apps don't seem to believe that will happen. DraftKings' latest odds heavily favor Dallas' chances of bringing Irving back. The Mavs are priced at -500 to do so, with only the Los Angeles Lakers appearing as a legit threat in this market.

Let's take a look at this market through our top NBA betting sites and try to figure out what the best play might be for our Irving next team predictions.

This is not a market worth betting on at this time, especially since you would have to wager $500 to win $100 in this case. To be honest, the chances that DraftKings even takes that bet are extremely low.

But this market is pretty telling. Dallas is the clear favorite to bring back Irving, while the Lakers are the lone team valued below 10/1. Only four teams are listed at 12/1 or shorter, suggesting all other teams are a long shot to land Irving.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Wednesday that Irving is expected to re-sign with the Mavs after free agency begins. More than that, only a select teams would even have a chance to land Irving due to salary and team expectations.

That said, Irving does intend to meet with the Suns, according to Thursday's reporting from Chris Haynes of TNT & Bleacher Report. While the Suns can compete for a championship, they likely wouldn't have the salary cap to pay the point guard what he wants.

As a result, we would be very surprised if Irving ends up playing anywhere else to start the 2023-24 NBA season.

Irving averaged 27 points and six assists per game in 20 contests for the Mavericks last year. It will be interesting to see what he and Luka Doncic can accomplish in a full season together.
