This bet should be priced closer to -215, as Flagg averaged just 1.4 blocks against inferior competition in college and blocked a total of only three shots in four preseason games.

Flagg’s points total is as high as 16.5 at some of our best sports betting sites, so getting 15.5 at -110 odds is solid value.

While Flagg likely won’t score 20-plus points, getting a number this low is worth taking. He held his own in scrimmages against Team USA as a 17-year-old coming out of high school, so it’s reasonable to assume he can score 16 or more in his NBA debut over a year later.

While Flagg started the final two preseason games at point guard, Jason Kidd told reporters after the Oct. 15 win over the Los Angeles Lakers that the Mavs’ offense was too stagnant early on.

There’s a good chance D’Angelo Russell handles more of the playmaking early in the season, at least until Flagg becomes more comfortable in that role. By adding rebounds into the bet, we’re also giving ourselves multiple paths to victory, as it’s tough to see Flagg grabbing a ton of boards alongside Anthony Davis and Dereck Lively II.
