Following the trade deadline, the Los Angeles Clippers appear to be a team in a freefall, and a trip to Houston to take on Kevin Durant and the fourth-place Rockets won't end well for them.
Our Clippers vs. Rockets player props today are backing Durant to have a big game, and our other two NBA best bets focus on a pair of his teammates. This one gets underway at 8:10 p.m. ET (NBA TV) from Toyota Center in Houston, with the Rockets serving as 7.5-point betting favorites.
Houston has been abysmal against the spread this season, but perhaps big performances from Durant and Co. help the Rockets cover at home.

| Player | Prop bet | Best odds | Confidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kevin Durant, F, Rockets | Over 23.5 points | -110 via BetMGM | ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ |

| Alperen Sengun, C, Rockets | Under 6.5 assists | -123 via DraftKings | ⭐⭐⭐⭐ |
💰 Best Clippers vs. Rockets prop bet: Kevin Durant Over 23.5 points (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Check out all of our NBA analysis and expert predictions this season.
Durant is averaging just a hair less than 26 points per game this season, and that number jumped to 27.2 in January. For whatever reason, he took only 10 shots last game against the Thunder, but I think we see that number get much closer tonight to the 17.9 field-goal attempts he averages per game.
My only worry with this bet is that the Rockets could blow out the Clippers, but Houston is just 23-28 ATS this season and L.A. is actually playing some decent basketball lately. I think the Clippers keep this one close enough to force Durant to remain in the game and active. He should play upward of 36 minutes, and I project him for roughly 26 points.
🔥 More Clippers vs. Rockets prop picks
Amen Thompson Over 6.5 rebounds (-105) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Most of the same information applies to Amen Thompson, as he should be recovered from the illness that held him out of Saturday's contest and play his normal allotment of minutes tonight.
Thompson is averaging 7.6 rebounds per game this season, and he managed 8.3 during the month of January. I project him to finish with right around eight rebounds tonight, so you could play this to odds as short as -150.
Alperen Sengun Under 6.5 assists (-123) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Alperen Sengun is coming off a triple-double against the Thunder, during which he dished out 11 assists. However, the big man averaged only 5.6 dimes in 14 January games, and he's projected to finish with a total even lower than that tonight (5.2).
With Thompson expected back in the lineup, Sengun won't have as many assist opportunities as he did last game, and he'll land closer to his season average. I would bet this to odds as short as -160 or even -170 on Under 6.5, and Under 5.5 is also a play as long as the price doesn't go shorter than -125.
