Fever vs. Sky Prediction: WNBA Picks for Sunday, Aug. 23
Last Updated: August 23, 2026 11:50 AM EDT • 3 minute read X Social Google News Link
My Fever vs. Sky prediction anticipates a slow start from Indiana at 7 p.m. ET on Sunday at Wintrust Arena in Chicago on NBC.
Indiana is a 3.5-point favorite as a WNBA championship odds contender. But Chicago could race out to an early lead against a tired squad.

🏆 Who will win Fever vs. Sky?
I predict the Fever to win by three points agains the Sky on Sunday. Indiana has won eight straight head-to-head matchups with Chicago since 2024, including two battles this season. The Sky have covered the spread in both matchups, but the Fever have ultimately had enough firepower to prevail.
Score prediction: Fever 95, Sky 92
💰 Fever vs. Sky prediction & best bet
Sky first-half ML (+122)
This is a classic sleepy spot for the Fever. They are playing their third game in four nights, in a third location, after losses to the Dallas Wings (Thursday) and New York Liberty (Saturday).
As a result, Indiana has yet to reveal an injury report. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see Caitlin Clark and/or Aliyah Boston get some rest. The current spread indicates that could be a possibility.
I'd rather back the Sky's first-half moneyline, as they are 10-9 with a +1.3 net rating in the first half at home this year.
🔥 Best Fever vs. Sky player prop bet
Sydney Taylor Over 14.5 points (-106)
After hitting a game-winner against the Golden State Valkyries, Chicago guard Sydney Taylor could build off that momentum in a favorable matchup.
Taylor scored 30 points the last time she faced the Fever, who struggled with her speed in transition. According to Props Madness, Indiana ranks 13th in defending players in transition, which is how Taylor earned 23% of her production. I'd be surprised if the Fever are better at getting back with tired legs.
Without Skylar Diggins in the lineup, Taylor has averaged 17 points and cleared this line in eight of her 13 matchups. She's certainly taken advantage of a bigger role in recent weeks.
🚀 Fever vs. Sky same-game parlay
FanDuel doesn't allow bettors to parlay Chicago's first-half moneyline with anything, so I've opted to back the hosts' spread instead. The angle remains similar, though it reduces the parlay payout to just +199. Taylor is a key player in the Sky's chances of keeping things close, so the SGP is correlated.
💵 Fever vs. Sky SGP picks
- Sky first-half +1.5 (-120)
- Sydney Taylor Over 14.5 points (-106)
Best odds: +199 via FanDuel (0.1u -> 0.19u)
