After failing to win a third straight WNBA championship last year, the Aces broke up their core by trading away Kelsey Plum in a deal that landed them Jewell Loyd. The fit was clunky in Game 1 against the New York Liberty, as Loyd didn’t attempt a single shot in the first quarter.

The Aces will stagger Loyd with one of Chelsea Gray and Jackie Young after the opening stint, but I don’t expect the offense to be firing on all cylinders until they figure out how to play together.

This is also a tricky spot for Las Vegas to start the season. Getting to Uncasville is one of the more difficult travel situations in the league, especially for a team coming off a loss to the defending champs.

Between the new starting lineup and the travel, I expect the Aces to start slow on Tuesday. I like their first-half team total as my best bet, especially when this line is as low as 43.5 in some spots.
