The Stampeders opened as -278 favorites on the moneyline. Since then, some action has come in on the Lions, dropping the Stampeders to -250 at FanDuel. If you like the Lions for the upset, you can still get them at +220 via BetMGM.
Even with the ML adjusting, the spread opened with Stampeders as 6.5-point favorites and remain the same on all books. While some of shops have it at -115, books like DraftKings still offer it at -110. If you’re on the Lions with the points, FanDuel has them at -105 odds.

The last time these teams met in Calgary on August 13, the Lions squeaked out a 41-40 win. However, those Lions were cooking as the best offense in the league with Rourke under center. This week, Vernon Adams Jr. will start for the Lions. In limited gameplay split between Lions and Montreal Alouettes, he’s thrown for 311 yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions.
Jake Maier has played well since supplanting veteran Bo Levi Mitchell with 975 yards, six touchdowns, and two interceptions over the last four weeks.
Stampeders -6.5 (-110) ★★★
One of the things the Stampeders do very well is run the ball. Starting running back Ka’Deem Carey leads the league with 712 rushing yards. He also has the most rushing touchdowns by a running back with seven.\
The Lions haven’t covered the spread in two games since losing Rourke and that doesn’t change this week.

Since Rourke’s injury, the Lions have yet to have a game hit the Over. Despite the Stampeders hitting the Over in two of their last three games, I don’t think the Lions move the ball enough to keep up and cash the Over 52.5.
