In a rematch from last year's WNBA Finals, the Connecticut Sun will play host to the Las Vegas Aces on Thursday in a game broadcasted on Prime Video. Read on for our Aces vs. Sun prediction based on the best WNBA odds.

For the second game in a row, the Las Vegas Aces and Connecticut Sun will meet inside Mohegan Sun Arena. The Aces secured a 90-84 road victory on Tuesday, and hope to improve to 8-0 on the year with a similar showing in Thursday's rematch.

The Sun, who lost to the Aces in the WNBA Finals last year, currently are second in the regular-season standings at 6-2. Can Connecticut hand Las Vegas its first loss of the season to inch closer on the table? Our best sports betting apps don't seem to think so, listing the Aces as road favorites in the rematch.

Aces head coach Becky Hammon said the scariest thing after Tuesday's win over the Sun, according to this tweet from WNBA analyst Mark Schindler.

“We’re not playing our best basketball offensively yet, and we’re scoring 90 points on off nights,” Hammon told the media.

That should terrify the rest of the W, and make bettors seriously consider attacking Las Vegas' team total at the best sports betting sites for most games. FanDuel is offering an Over of -114 on 86.5 points at the time of this writing.

But I settled on the spread, as -5 was my buy point for Thursday's rematch. If the Aces were to avoid an off night offensively, at least by their lofty standards, not even the No. 2 team in the WNBA could stop this from being a blowout.

The Aces currently lead the league in offensive rating, points per game, field-goal percentage, points per 100 possessions, net rating, and 2-point percentage. They are seventh in 3-point shooting after ranking second in that category last summer with many of the same players.

That is how the Aces can get even better, having players like Kelsey Plum shoot better from long range. Maybe that doesn't happen in this game, but I'll take my chances with Las Vegas' offense being even more prepared for a second meeting in three days with the Sun.

Based on my projections, I wouldn't lay more than -5 after the Aces barely covered the same number on Tuesday. But take advantage of this discounted price while you still can by placing this four-star bet at DraftKings.

As you can see, we got a bad number when we placed this bet early Thursday afternoon. The best sportsbooks have now dropped the spread to 4.5, with BetMGM offering the current best price at a -105 vig.

Perhaps that means we are due for a win here, but I still think Las Vegas is playable at -5 or better based on my projections. We will see how wrong I am.
