The Chicago Sky host the Las Vegas Aces at Wintrust Arena on Thursday, as we offer our best Aces vs. Sky prediction and expert picks based on the best WNBA odds.

After suffering through one of their worst stretches in years, the Las Vegas Aces (8-6) are coming off double-digit wins against two of the WNBA's top teams. Now they'll set their sights on the Chicago Sky (6-9), who have won two straight entering Thursday's home tilt at Wintrust Arena at 7 p.m. ET.

Las Vegas is an 8-point favorite to beat the Sky across our best sportsbooks, which are also listing the Aces as the top team by the WNBA championship odds. They hold a chance to extend their win streak to three games if the Aces can shut down Angel Reese, who has been emerging as a rising star for the host Sky.

Let's dive into our Aces vs. Sky prediction.

Aces vs. Sky predictions for Thursday

Aces -8 ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I can see the appeal of backing the Sky, who have won two straight over the Dallas Wings and Indiana Fever thanks largely to the strong play of Reese (13.2 points per game and 11.1 rebounds). She's making a push to overtake Fever star Caitlin Clark in the Rookie of the Year race.

The issue is that Chicago's physical style and frontcourt reliance play right into the hands of the Aces and superstar A'ja Wilson, who's been the W's single-most dominant force on both ends of the court. She leads the league in points (27.8 per game) and rebounds (11.6). Wilson also ranks second in blocks (2.4), which is a key reason why she's the runaway favorite to win her third MVP Award.

The Sky are trending around league average on both ends of the court, and they've been outscored by 1.2 points per 100 possessions even after those two straight wins. I just don't see another upset in the cards on Thursday, even with Reese playing at a high level.

Angel Reese Under 15.5 points ⭐⭐⭐

At the time of this writing, the only player props available are on Reese, who enters Thursday with eight consecutive double-doubles. That's the most ever from a rookie, and just four short of Candace Parker's all-time record (12 games).

She's also coming off a career-best 25-point effort against the Fever, who own the WNBA's worst defensive rating (109.5). That marked one of just four times in 15 starts that she's scored 13-plus points (26.7%), though all four have come during this eight-game streak.

If you're only betting one player prop for this game, I'd be tempted to wager on the Over for Wilson's points and rebounds, as she loves to put on a show against high-profile competition. Without that available, my next favorite bet is Wilson shutting down Reese in the scoring department.
