There's no shame in Texas losing the series opener last night with Cristopher Sanchez toeing the rubber for Philadelphia, as the Cy Young odds dark horse entered with the third-lowest ERA in the National League and had made quality starts in 10 of his last 11 outings. But Texas has also not lost any of its last five home series, and I expect it to avoid a series loss tonight with my Phillies vs. Rangers prediction.

Even with last night’s defeat, Texas is 12-3 in its last 15 home games. And Jacob deGrom gives it a great chance to avoid a rare home losing streak, as he's pitched to a 1.91 ERA in 11 starts at Globe Life Field.
