As I stated in the intro, this game is a true toss-up according to Kalshi, as both teams sit at a 50% chance to win. The game opened with Seattle at a 73% chance to win, then flipped to the Athletics at 52%, before settling into a true 50/50 split. This shows that the betting market is genuinely divided on the matchup.

I see it slightly differently, as I believe the Mariners are the correct side in this game. They hold both the pitching and offensive talent advantages, which should propel them to a victory this evening.

My prediction: Mariners win. The Seattle Mariners hold the edge on the mound, and their pitching staff is well-equipped to limit an Athletics lineup that has struggled with consistency. Offensively, Seattle has more proven power and run-producing talent, which should give them the advantage in key scoring situations tonight.

⚾ Will there be a run in the first inning of Mariners vs. Athletics?

My prediction: No run in the first inning The Seattle Mariners have been one of the better NRFI teams in baseball this season, posting a 63.6% no-run first inning rate, while the Athletics sit at 74.1%, one of the highest marks in the league. Both lineups have shown inconsistency scoring early, and with two capable starting pitchers on the mound, this matchup sets up well for a scoreless opening frame tonight.
