Victor Wembanyama Over 25.5 points (-121)

I talked about this before the series began - so I may sound like a broken record - but the Thunder genuinely have a Wembanyama problem. Holmgren, who made All-NBA Third Team and finished 2nd in DPOY voting, has been so ineffective at defending Wembanyama that he has even been benched late in games.

The Thunder’s inability to guard Wembanyama has led to him posting a 65.1% true shooting percentage in this series and scoring 26-plus in back-to-back games. DraftKings has his Over 25.5 points at -121, but I'd play this up to -150 on the best sports betting sites.

Chet Holmgren Under 13.5 points (-120)

While Holmgren has struggled defensively in this series, he’s been even less impactful on the offensive end. He has just a 15.4% usage rate, which appears to be the result of his team simply losing faith in him when Wembanyama is on the floor.

Holmgren has scored 13 or fewer points in three of four outings in this series (the outlier being a 14-point performance) and has struggled to stay on the floor late in games. Holmgren Under 13.5 points is -120 at BetMGM, but I'd play this up to -145 on the best sports betting apps.

💡 How I'm betting Spurs vs. Thunder: Game 5 strategy

Usually in an NBA playoff series, you expect to encounter essentially the same situation - aside from a change in venue - four to seven times. While the Thunder’s injuries, especially if Jalen Williams doesn’t play, change today's situation, I avoided bets that would be heavily impacted by the injury report. Instead, I targeted two known commodities: the Thunder have struggled to guard Wembanyama, who has grown more comfortable as a scorer throughout the playoffs, and Holmgren has struggled to stay on the floor when Wembanyama is also out there.
