Before missing the cut at the John Deere Classic and British Open, Griffin had been playing some incredible golf.
Griffin's worst finish in his previous five tournaments was a T-14 at the Travelers Championship, and his best was a Charles Schwab Challenge win and a second-place finish at the Memorial. It helps that we know he plays Sedgefield well, too, shooting 12-under a year ago at the Wyndham Championship, which was good enough for a T-7.
His SG: Approach, which is a key predictive stat for Sedgefield, are elite in this field, and his putting on Bermuda grass positions him as a real contender this weekend.
With a few weeks of rest under his belt, look for Griffin to take the next step and take home the hardware in North Carolina for his third win of the season. I'd price his Wyndham Championship odds closer to +1800, so I'm loving the value I'm getting right now.
