Bettors in Missouri can begin pre-registering with licensed sportsbooks starting today.
It's a prelude to what is expected ahead of the scheduled Dec. 1 launch of legal Missouri sports betting market.
The early sign-up window allows users to create accounts, deposit funds, and complete identity verification before betting becomes available. This setup lets customers place bets right away on launch day at Missouri sports betting apps and get pre-registration bonuses from big operators.
Users can pre-register on many different sites, cashing in on a DraftKings Missouri promo code, a FanDuel Missouri promo code, a Fanatics Missouri promo code, a bet365 Missouri promo code, a Caesars Missouri promo code, or a BetMGM Missouri promo code, as well as offerings from Circa and theScore Bet.
Daily fantasy operators such as Underdog are also accepting early sign-ups. While bets cannot be placed until Dec. 1, users can deposit funds and complete account requirements during the pre-launch period.
Several operators are also offering promotional incentives. DraftKings is providing $300 in bonus bets on launch day for anyone who registers early. FanDuel is giving $100 in bonus bets for pre-registered accounts. BetMGM is offering $100 in bonus bets for users who deposit before launch, along with up to $1,500 in bonus bets if a qualifying post-launch wager loses. bet365 customers can sign up and receive $365 in bonus bets after placing a wager of at least $10.
Even though bettors can't place wagers during pre-registration, the early process lets new users finish the verification steps, look around each app's layout, and use pre-launch promotions to build up their initial bankroll. These steps ensure that wagers can be placed on launch day without any issues.
Early sign-ops align with first-year market projections
The start of pre-registration also aligns with new estimates suggesting Missouri could post a sports betting handle of $3.88 billion in its first year of operations. Independent comparison site BetMissouri projected the figure ahead of the launch.
Analyst Christopher Boan based the projections on Missouri's 2025 population estimate and early wagering activity in five comparable markets: Maryland sports betting, Indiana sports betting, Massachusetts sports betting, Colorado sports betting, and Tennessee sports betting. Those states averaged just over $1.1 billion in handle during their first four months of online betting, or roughly $279.6 million per month.
Using those benchmarks, Missouri is expected to exceed $1 billion in handle during its first four months, with a monthly average near $262.6 million. The model also anticipates around $65.7 million in wagers during the initial week.
Boan noted that state-to-state comparisons have limitations due to differing launch conditions, including pandemic-related disruptions and the presence or absence of retail betting. However, Missouri's timing aligns with active schedules for local teams, which could support strong engagement in the early weeks.
The St. Louis Blues open at home against the Anaheim Ducks on launch day, while Kansas City Chiefs fans will see their team return to Arrowhead Stadium on Dec. 7 to face the Houston Texans, providing immediate wagering opportunities as mobile betting becomes available.
