Glad I waited to invest in Madrid. Wanted to see Federer and Berdych first. Will be diving in with Berdych & Nishikori futures if Kei wins today. Berdych price will probably be less than 1/2 of what it opened at, but that's the price you pay for waiting. Will make sure they don't cut it too deep.

Most weeks I feel like it is better to wait a day or two to gauge some play and invest.

I'm tempted to throw a few bucks at Krygios future. He played like an animal today, I was blown away. Kid's 19. Could be a story developing at 150 to 1 odds.

Could easily have lost though - maybe should have once Fed went up in the 2nd but to his credit kept with it.

I think that's dead money though. He'll get a bit more fatigued and tested to play a complete match, maybe not next match against Isner, but I think you'd be better just taking him match by match on the ML. Other than the Isner match, he'll be a dog the rest of the way.

Remember he was super amped up for his first chance to play Federer. Talked about it before he was even in this round to play him. Only natural that his level will drop some IMO.

Speaking of Kyrgios and his superb play today, did we ever find out statisticly speaking if it's good to fade them their next match off a huge upset win like that? I know it's been mentioned and discussed before, but I couldn't remember if we decided on the validity of that or if there really is any partial truth or small consistency in such a claim. Very interested in hearing any thoughts! I really feel like he spent all his energy in that match and will find it tougher to keep up with Isner. Haven't had the opportunity to actually watch any matches yet (work) though, so can't quite say if Isner is gaining his form back or has simply outlasted and outendured his opponents thus far.
