No sooner do I post and they're up. But the juice is f*cking insane. Over 9.5 is -182 for Germany/Denmark and -300 for Portugal/Netherlands! F*ck that, better off taking 10-12 and over 12.5 @ +juice. Obviously if 9.5 hits, 10 and over gonna hit.

Three goals already for Gomez through the 1st two matches. With the Danes having to move forward at some point in an effort to secure a win, the Germans should get some opportunities to attack an open defense that has already struggled some - especially against the Portugese. Today is also an opportunity for Gomez to put some space between himself and the field for the top goal scorer honors in the tournament as it progresses. If Germany scores more than one goal today, odds are Gomez will be responsible for at least one.

This seems to be the best strategy today. I'm putting 1.25 units on the Over 12.5 and .75 units on the 10-12. Bigger profit if it hits 13 or more and a small one as long as it gets to ten. Considering that both teams have 17 corners each combined through the first two matches and have given up at least four a piece in both matches, I think the attacking nature could get a boatload of corners.Comment -
Sucks the way they've adjusted the corners prop. Basically if 1 unit = $100, betting $200 nets $87.50 or $17.50 (or 0 if it doesn't hit). As individual bets, the ml's are -228 and -1143. Sh*tty numbers. Might just take a flier on the over 12.5. Or just go with both teams to score. Already bet the total goals over 2.5 for Por/Neth.

Well I don't think it will be that way for the other matches to finish the group stages, but this group and these teams particularly warranted some sort of adjustment. I hope the over still hits and the books take it in the ass.Comment -
That's about my luck the last two days. Germany scores twice, neither from Gomez. 12 corners in the other match, one off the big winner. Settled for a small profit on the that, but down overall. Meh. At least I hit a points bet on the overs.Comment -
Yeah, hit the over and both teams to score for both matches. Like you, played the over 12½ in Por/Neth match. Pissed I didn't pull the trigger on the under 9½ in the other match, was +160, game ended with 8. Either way, better than that Russian bloodbath yesterday.

Wake up EP! Your followers are waiting for your pics! I'm rolling with the corners prop for Spain/Croatia, primary bet on over 9.5, smaller on 10-12, cover on over 12.5. Also both teams to score. For Italy/Ireland got Italy to score in both halves -104. Whatcha got?

Cannot go with the corners prop on either one personally. Spain matches have had 9 and 10 corners and the one that got ten was pretty lucky to get there. Their dominant possession game pretty much requires them to get 7-8 corners minimum to give the corners prop any chance to hit. Thought about the Italian one as well since Italy should be pressing, but Ireland has three corners total in this tourney - so would again be a play on Italy probably needing to get eight or more [possible] - which is still going to be tough. After lots of thought, this is mine today.
6.17.12 [Group C] Italy-Ireland Over 2.5 [-129]
Going with the match of the two that requires one team to absolute go balls to the wall. Italy has to win first and foremost today and then they can worry about the other match and fixes and what not. Ireland has been a mess defensively with seven goals conceded, but lost in the mix is that their offense has had some primo shots to score - just not great luck with the finishing touch. I think with Italy likely to play very open for a large part of this match, there should be room to roam for both sides. Looking for Pirlo to be the creative force and for Cassano & Di Natale to be dangerous all match. I also expect the Irish to be spirited for their fans. Have a feeling they will net one today to make this somewhat interesting. Even if they don't, Italy should feel like they can score multiple times if they crack this defense early like both Croatia and Spain did.Comment -

Thanks EP, late goals in both games saved me. Had futures on Spain to win group, Spain and Italy to advance. Wish I'd bet the corners in both games, freakin' blew up today. Didn't see that many coming. All in all, helps offset some of the Russian blood-letting from Saturday.

Mostly just concerned today with getting the France win and nailing them to win the group, but also liked this one.
6.18.12 [Group D] England-Ukraine Total Corners Over 9.5 [-156]
Even though these two sides have not amassed many corners in the first two matches in this group, the circumstances today could lead to a bit better chance to rack up corners. England need just a draw to advance, although some theorize they could be out for goals today looking to secure the win & hope that France falter to win the group and avoid Spain in the QFs. I think first and foremost, they have to make sure they get there. I expect them to adopt a bit more of the absorption strategy at least early that they had against France - knowing Ukraine is likely to attack as they must win to advance. If England scores early, I expect this will certainly be the case for most of the remainder of the match which hopefully can lead to more corners as England defends a lead. And of course should Ukraine score, then we can expect an all-out assault by Rooney & Co. in search of an equalizer.Comment -
