After a heavy defeat, the Czechs realistically need a win to keep much hope alive of advancement. Greece likely will feel like they can continue to play their dullish defensive match, earn a result and give themselves a potential shot at advancing. They must however think ahead about a potential clash with Russia in their Group Final that could decide their fate. That means a win against the Czechs would put them in much better position. The Greeks go in without their usual pair of central defenders due to injury/suspension. That could creat communication issues along that back line. The Czechs had all sorts of issues slowing the attack of Russia and while Greece is no where near the class of Russian in finishing skill, the Greeks will have some hope heading into this one that they can pressure the Czechs into some mistakes. Half a unit.

[Group A] Russia-Poland Both Teams to Score [-115]
One full unit on this one. Seems doubtful that Poland should realistically think they can hold the Russians scoreless for a draw, so expect Poland to look for the goal again. Russians looked extremely dangerous all match against the Czechs. Poland will be tougher to break down, but I think Russia scores in this one and maybe not just one.

I think Portugal is going to be more of the attacking squad here as they need a win in all reality to have any shot to advance, so I think the over can bear some fruit. Portugal is good at attacking down the wings with Ronaldo & Co. which often puts the defense in position to be human deflector shields to yield corners. Portugal had 11 corners against Germany. Denmark gave up 11 to the Dutch, while generating four themselves.

[Group B] Netherlands-Germany Both Teams to Score [-142]
Dutch need a win. They know no other way to play than to attack. Frankly, they had plenty of finishing opportunities against Denmark - they just blew them. Germany can put a stranglehold on this group with a win & the Dutch backline still looks plenty vulnerable against the quality German attack.

I would have said yes, but I was a little hesitant - not sure why though with how piss poor the Dutch defense is. There was a good stat I found somewhere else two about the 2nd round of the group stages in the EURO tourney seeing almost a 20% increase in overs from the 1st round. Something to keep in mind for the next two days. So far it looks like 3/4 this round are going to go over.

6.14.12 [Group C] Croatia-Italy Over 2 [-130]
Thought about taking both to score, but I think paying more to protect against a potential goose egg is a better investment for me. Clearly, both these teams can score on the other today. Italy turned in an impressive performance against Spain, but should again be under pressure to contain a potent Croatian attack. Conversely, we should get to see exactly what the Italians want to do on the attack today as they should share much more of the possession than they did with Spain. I think Italy should be keen to seek out goals for a win especially with the potential to keep in running for the group lead if they can get the full result. Croatia should be in the same boat especially with Spain still on their slate. While one point would keep them right in the race, three puts them in a prime position to advance.

France should win the better of the possession battle in this one and that should mean plenty of attacking chances for the French who need a win in this match to put themselves in the best position possible for advancement. Ukraine are likely to sit back and absorb what France offers in the 1st half as the EURO co-hosts would be just fine with a draw today and another point to keep them up top in this group. Ukraine does offer some chances of its own as they should look to spring counter attacks which seems a natural strategy for this side. In that manner it seems similar to the England match for the French where they tallied eleven corners to England's four.

Some of this is banking on England to show a little more in the way of a tactical attack than they did against France. I think that is possible as Sweden does not possess quite the speed, quickness and firepower of France that they saw in their opener. With Ibrahimovic, we know the Swedes always have a chance to get on the board.

Yes, the Russians can advance with a simple draw against Greece - but a win pushes them to the top of the group and likely sees them avoid Germany in the quarterfinals, a big plus. Greece will get one of their defensive stalwarts back in this one after suspension, but will be using their back-up keeper after their starter was injured against the Czechs. Greece has had some major defensive lapses in this tournament and with a need to go for a win to progress, a strong Russian attack should have ample chances to net goals.

Both teams have scored and conceded in both group stage matches so far. This is sure to be a tight match with Poland eligible to advance with a win and the Czechs needing just a draw. This could be a dull affair for a bit with both teams not wanting to fall behind, but with Poland needing to get the W - there should be enough open space & chances that as long as one of these teams nets a goal early enough, the other team will be chasing.

I'm pretty sure as soon as it is listed, I am going to bang the Over 9.5 corners for Portugal-Netherlands. Should be the best game of the final round considering both teams are likely to attack throughout. Imagine the juice on the over will open high and only get higher.

Exactly. Russia single-handedly sucked up most of my profit from this tournament. Said I was going to stick to props and stay away from sides; that's what I get for not sticking to my word. F*kin' Russia played like they were paid off to lose, like they didn't even care. I've seen NFL punters kick the ball lower than some of their shots. That being said, Greece deserved to win and I'm glad they knocked those f*ckers out. Teams shouldn't be rewarded for sh*tty effort.

Did hit the corners prop in the Poland/Czech game, for what it's worth. Russia/Greece would have hit also.
