A-League Handicapping 2011/12

evening amigos!

One more FA Cup game tonight. Everyone seems to be on Arsenal over Leeds but im just not so sure. Leeds has been playing well and some key players resting for Arsenal. Recent comments from Wegner suggest he is more interested in success in Champions League than FA.

I'm thinking Leeds +1.5 @ 2.06 is much better value at this stage. Any thoughts?

Locking it in - Leeds +1.5,+2.0 @ 1.925

I ended up going slightly conservative and taking the extra half goal just in case the gunners show up. (Got this at b365).

Also, French Nations Cup match - Angers vs Monaco, I'm taking Angers to WIN @ 2.02 (got this at 5dimes). I really like this match-up, both Ligue 2 clubs. Angers have gone 5-1-4 in their last 10 but Monaco are 0-5-5. Monaco are also 0-4-4 away from home and are sitting at the bottom of Ligue 2.

Odds seem way too easy for this game, plus I never trust french teams, but it seems worthy of a small action play, only 0.5u on this one.

Awesome! You got those 3 units back! I only had 2 unit on it, going to try and take it easy for a few days.

Yeah, other play cashed at the 89' minute. Fukn lucky, had given up on it!

Nice buddy, was on the same side except for +1.5/2. Was a bit worried with a couple key outs for leeds but was expecting the Arsenal side to line up somewhat like they did so pulled the trigger.

Nice story henry getting them the win though, wonder whether wenger will play him much in the PL and if he'll just slot right into Gervinho's wing spot, he's lost more than a step though so can't imagine him beating too many defenders with pace.

Same here, Leeds were not at full strength either and I was seriously considering taking Arsenal for awhile. But with AVP out and Wegner banging on about how he wants to get to atleast Quarter Finals in CL, I just couldn't see them dominating this game on the scoresheet.

I am very happy for Henry. I havent watched any MLS games so I haven't what his form has been like, but I didnt expect him to be much chop in his first game back. I didn't watch the game and only saw the highlight of his goal. He might not have the pace, but it's still Henry!

One play for me tonight in French League Cup.

OLYMPIQUE MARSEILLE to WIN @*1.94

Marseille have been in fine form, winning 7 of their last 10 games. They are up against Caen at home who have been struggling recently, with only 1 win and 2 draws in the same period. However this will be tighter then it looks, Marseille will be without a few regular starters but I think their depth will get them through. They have also won their last 9 League Cup games. Marseille take this stuff seriously and replacement players will be looking to impress and work their way into the regular starting 11.

I think these boys will be fit if they are finally named. Roar had the advantage of being top of the table when Broich and co. were injured and have not fallen too far behind at this stage. Hard to believe they would rush them back now. Look what happened to Fred when he was rushed back for Melbourne Heart.

I think they will be keen to come out all guns blazing.Either way, I think whatever side Roar field they would be able to handle Sydney FC. hey mate, early night for me last night. It was time to catch up on sleep!

I had a look at the games last night and only really liked Lorient in French Cup, but wasn't confident enough to pull the trigger. I do have the Over 2.5 in ManCity/Liverpool game. Only v small action play to keep me occupied in the morning, and only real reasoning is that nearly everyone seems to like the under.

Nick Carle looked all sorts in the 1st half but played better in the 2nd and he was out for 2 wks... so you can imagine how Broich and co will be effected from a 8wk layoff.

yeh ill venture to the game, hard to tip this game. hard to gauge how new coach will factor.. probably a good game to stay away from.. but fk it ill tip
