Most of you can't relate to this, but in the Pacific Northwest...the group that unnerves everyone is Russians. These guys don't "F" around and love to fight....violence and organized crime is celebrated amongst Russian young-adults, though their parents are often completely opposite and looked to escape this sort of thing. My wife and I have our cwp weapons permits and we carry often. The other week I was in a jewelry store looking to get her something for her birthday. Several hours after I left the store, the store was robbed. Robbers not only stole jewelry but robbed two elderly women who were looking to buy something for their niece. Robbers pushed one of the ladies over and broke her hip. Really messed. I won't get into the race of the robbers...but the main point is if I would have delayed going to the store, I could have easily been caught in the middle of this. I would have had my Sig p229 on me too. This makes me think though...no way, I would go without it, but at the same time, would I have been able to react before the robbers caught me off guard. Wouldn't want to be searched with my piece on me...would be at a disadvantage and could be targeted. I am rethinking my current holster set-up because it does not seem practical enough to draw fast from. Shoulder holster does not work in warm weather. Anyone have a set-up that they are really pleased with?
