I only gamble with what I can afford to lose, but it definitely sucks you in... You achieve insane highs and lows when you either hit or miss a big bet, but it is definitely an addiction.

I like it as a cheap hobby, and I hope I never get to the point to where I gamble with rent money, etc.

The sad thing is I still believe that if I stay disciplined I can win, and that keeps me possibly going. The life I am currently living is agony and misery masked in a constant state of action and denial.

I think many people could understand this viewpoint. Even if they don't gamble. For most of us, we don't get the 5-star life, we don't have million dollar inheritance. We don't come from wealth. We don't have invention/engineering mentalities or entrepreneur mindsets.

We have to work our whole lives, just to grow old and enjoy our "old age". It's not a very American Dream or a life to look forward to. We have crap jobs or idiot bosses and co-employees, maybe both... where we question whats the point of waking up to go to it. We may lose ambition and passions along the way. Keep in there man.

Stay disciplined. Thrill of the case is fun, but more times than not you're doubled down and asking why am i so stupid?

best advice ever! going to the gym & getting jacked up not only helps vent your frustrations but gets you all diesel in the process!! you def have to find a something to do to replace all the time you've wasted watching your games every single night.

Im doing just fine now. I don't give up easily. I turned things around big time.

Even if I won 50 grand today, I would still say that gambling ruined my life. If you dont understand this, I dont know what to tell you. I do not believe I was meant to bet games and watch sports all day. I believe I should have done/been someone important. Im not gonna lie, this is a lot of fun. But it is consuming, theres more to life than this.

As a result, I have become anti-social and somewhat of a hermit. We should be out banging chicks and seeing the world people.
