so a professor emails over the weekend because she did not see me in class last week. she asked if things were ok on my end and was concerned about my absences. she then wrapped up her email by reminding that there was an exam on tuesday (today).

i responded to her, basically telling her i missed her class cuz i didn't feel like going. i then told her i was not going to show up to the exam today. she was undoubtedly alarmed by my response, asking if i was ill or felt underprepared for the exam. I've never felt better in years, and i know the material like the back of my hand. i just don't fukking care anymore.

i think i've lost motivation to basically do anything, well, at least school related. anyone who i've talked to off the boards knows i am close to the finish line, but i'm so burnt. i've lost it and can't seem to regrasp any semblance of motivation.

has anyone else experienced this before? it is a strange feeling.

I felt that way during School as well at times. I am now feeling like this, I am having one of the roughest periods in my life right now. It's not easy but I know it will pass, hopefully soon.

I'm also a student with a scholarship. It's not easy, I'll have a test today and have another one tomorrow. I study to be a computer engineer and programmer.

And the knowledge they teach me makes me a more professional gambler, it's much easier when you make your own programs that do the work for you then buying softwares from tauts for 200-300 bucks and it might not even work.

You need to have a goal if you don't have a goal you won't have urge to study and do that exam. For example if I want to work at Microsoft and make a few thousand bucks a month with programming. It's not 100% sure that I'll get the job but I will study harder to get it and I will know more then the others out there.

And you can get the dream girl of your life no matter how ugly you are so that also could be your goal.

Ok, so think about your goal and work harder to make that goal.

For example that Lamborghini in my avatar is one of my long term goals.

It's easier to study for an exam if you attend classes. So that's a good point and the professors will also remember your face.

I graduated from Penn State in 2008, I remember sometimes I felt like just giving up because the material for some classes was so boring/dry and I didn't feel like reading any of it. I got through all of it and graduated with a degree in IST (Information Sciences and Tech) with around a 3.4 cumulative GPA. Sadly, it was all for nothing as here it is 2011 and I still don't have a job. I've been trying to find an IT job here in Colorado Springs but have had only 1 interview, I've given up and now I'm just going to relegate myself to any old minimum wage job. I actually have an interview for a cashier position at a retail store this Friday, college was a waste for me, $80k down the train. Pretty much anything I learned anyways has been forgotten by now, not sure where to go from here. I sort of wish I became a paramedic/firefighter after hearing about how much money they can make.
