Dude, I am in the same boat as you. I am 9hrs (3 classes) away from graduating. But I just don't feel like doing crap anymore. I've paid for all of my college through student loans, grants, and military GI Bill. Ever since spring break I've had no motivation to attend class or study. It also did not help i went on a gambling spree during spring break built a $500 bank roll up to 27k in a span of 2 weeks then lost it all + another 5k in another 2 weeks. I am forcing myself to attend class and stay on campus so that way I can get my head out of gambling and get over my loss. Hopefully I can finish out this semester so and get a decent job.

When I was gambling in college I deposited 300 and won around 5k in a week and felt like gold, was a perfect student that week etc but when I blew 4k in about 10 mins in the bodog casino and then got rid of the rest on sports the following week I looked like a strung out junkie in class for a week

i'm surprised by the reactions to a professor emailing a student. it's pretty common here, particularly in small seminar structured classes. i suppose its nice to know that we aren't just faceless pupils but rather actual people who can discuss not only stuff related to academia, but lifestuff in general.

i will get it done, just not on the time i wanted. it pisses me off that everyone (family, friends) was planning on attending final exercises this coming may, and now they have to wait another year. the part that really gets me is that my grandmother's (in her mid 80s) fondest wish is to see the graduation ceremony. i hate to sound so pessimistic, but she can drop dead at any moment.
